After coming here since opening when the coffee was great & consistent I have chosen to stop going. The prices are fair however the coffee is sub par compared to the competition nearby. Also the smash burger was great the first time, after that it was a repetition of Harvey's esk burgers with literally 1 small pickle slice. If they have more then 4-5 guests be ready to wait 15min or more for coffee. I will say though that the atmosphere & employees are very pleasant.View more

I really want to like Café Kuya & help support local coffee shops, unfortunately my experience this past weekend was disappointing. First of all, having a working AC during the heat wave would have been nice, also the iced matcha latte that I ordered came with chunks of matcha & grainy clumps at the bottom. Very poor quality of matcha preparation, & the taste of it was just average.View more

Café Kuya is always a go-to place for coffee dates with friends, a small date with the fiancé, etc.
The staff is so friendly & attentive, & the drinks & food are always so good! 😊
We love the syrups that we can add to our drinks (ube & pandan are both very yummy! 😋)
The buko pie was also very good!

Café Kuya (1200 Boul. de Rome Local M, Brossard, Quebec J4W 3G7) - this is a really unique & appealing spot! ✨
The first thing that grabs your attention is the interior: a big branded coffee name on the wall, & even a small motorcycle inside! The decorations are just right, not too much, but very interesting - you'll spot a helmet, Star Wars elements, & more. 🏍?
You can immediately tell this cafe has a lot of regulars; it's like a magnet for people. 🧲
The tables are set up efficiently. They're not super comfy, but totally fine for a quick bite or a cup of coffee.
The coffee here is good, & they do have some pastries, though not a huge selection. 🥐☕ The staff is kind, always smiling, & very responsive. 😊
There's just one thing that's a bit surprising right from the entrance: the front door. It's really hard to open, which is a little puzzling on your first visit. 🤔
Overall, I recommend Café Kuya for its unique atmosphere & hospitality! 👍

My absolute favourite cafe. This place is a community gem of the south shore & feels like the embodiment of a warm hug. The space is airy & cozy with lots of natural light & high ceilings: a perfect place to sit down & work or have a good coffee date. But what really sets this cafe apart is how incredible everyone who works here is. The staff are so thoughtful & kind. They always check in with their customers to see how they are & always go above & beyond.
The drinks & food here are equally delicious (try their ube syrup in a latte & breakfast sandwich if you want to get a taste of their specialties). They have a great assortment of Philippino inspired sandwiches, pies, & baked goods.
Additionally, they are always innovating & working with the local community bringing in pop ups & different Philippino foods to try, supporting other local businesses & uplifting others (keep an eye on their IG for pop ups & other community events).

Fantastic coffee shop. If you like great coffee, you'll love it. Their espresso is definitely the best I've had from any coffee place in the south shore. The ambiance is great. Welcoming & bright, though quirky & clearly decorated by a Star Wars nerd. Service is top tier. The cashier was helpful & welcoming, & the barista brings your food to your table. About the food. Gaddam. Walks the line between standard caffé choices & "exotic" perfectly. Try their longaniza sandwich if you have the chance. All that being said, service takes the time it takes. It's slow, so don't come here for your daily cup of coffee on your way to work.View more

Discovered this cafe as my daughter picked up a coffee. I immediately noticed delicious looking Burgers on clients tables. I inquired about kitchen opening hours, as my head office is accross the street & I am too busy to cook & only order out. Showed up today, & was told kitchen was closed. Was extremely disappointed, & walked out. Very friendly employee came to get me outside to tell me they would accommodate me, & apologized about the closing hours confusion. So professional on their part. Burger was amazing! They have a new regular client for life. I strongly recommend.View more

The coffee is really great, the staff are very nice. Personally i'm not a fan of the burger or the breakfast sandwich (too greasy, breakfast sandwich pork had a sweet & sour taste i wasn't a fan of) but my friend liked them. Still a very nice spot in southshore, would go backView more

Update: I came here on Monday morning, not too busy & ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, a filter coffee with almond milk & a breakfast sandwich. It took 18 minutes for the breakfast sandwich because I heard the cook say "well I only got this now". My filter coffee was cold & my cappuccino had regular milk. I cant 5 star this place anymore.View more

Coffee is good. For food you get more flavors & quality than usual coffee joints since it's Filipino inspired. They have special servings on different days which makes it even more interesting to go back often (good marketing). Service was great! Happy & smiling crew!
