Globalement, les avis sur Café Gitana décrivent un lounge chaleureux et immersif où le café, les cigares et la chicha se mêlent à une ambiance orientale raffinée, avec une excellente sélection de cigares, de thés et de cocktails et une musique live qui intensifie l'atmosphère, l'espace étant salué pour son ambiance détendue et son personnel accueillant, avec la possibilité d'apporter son propre cigare et de profiter du thé et des boissons dans plusieurs espaces confortables, mais certains commentaires évoquent un service plus lent, des incohérences occasionnelles et des préoccupations concernant la transparence des prix et le choix limité de saveurs de chicha.
L'ambiance était bonne, le serveur très gentil par contre un thé à la menthe pour 9.35$ c'est du vol ! On m'a chargé 8$ pour le thé & 1.25$ pour la menthe... ridicule ! Quand je vais dans un café ou une shisha jamais de ma vie on m'a chargé pour de la menthe bref je n'y retournerai pas
Cozy cigar bar with shisha. Excellent service, I had a very nice waitress. The Turkish tea (with mint) was great, tasted authentic & the tea cup is definitely authentically Turkish. The shisha lasted a while & had a nice pull.

Not really have terrace but downstairs is big windows open & it give terrace vibe. Price is normal.

I used to love Café Gitana & even left a great 5 star review a while back, but things have really taken a downturn.
The cocktails are no longer up to par, flat, watered down, & just not crafted with the same care. The tea, which used to be a standout, has lost its quality too, bland & forgettable now.
Service has become painfully slow, like they're running with minimal staff. The hookah is also disappointing lately, poorly made & they no longer offer flavor options, which takes away from the experience entirely. It's unfortunate to see a place that once had so much charm drop in consistency & quality.
Here they serve only one flavour of sheesha & that also in magic coal, if you ask for coconut (natural)coal, it will take more than 15 minutes. It's not too tidy place, service was slow. Overall the experience was okay!!!
I've come to this place often & have always had a nice experience. Great atmosphere, authentic live music & tasty food & drink. I don't smoke cigars, so I can't review them on that. Otherwise awesome place with an exotic flair!
Quite good! The shishas were nice, however I would've appreciated more flavors. Maybe it was just a one time thing or a new law passed in Canada to ban flavors. Nice lounge, very relaxing! Great place to chill with friends instead of casual bars.

Cafe gitana was a vibe!! Loved the energy, the live band & belly dancing were amazing! You get 3 floors.
First floor - is more chill they have the bar & I saw some people bringing their laptop to work & some were playing cards. Upon leaving we saw a small band playing some trumpet
Middle floor - more chill just sitting & smoking sisha
Basement - they had piano & violin playing downstairs.
2 downside, 1. the place is a little small so it feels crowded. We went Saturday night it was packed we didn't have reservations but we got seated pretty fast. 2, drinks didn't taste like it had any liquor to it. I got a mojito & it just stated like mint with water.
Sushi was also good (I was told that they don't do any flavor) it was packed good & they also gave unlimited charcoal to refill which was a plus!
0verall, I'll give it 4/5 & will definitely come back.
Cafe Gitana has become one of my favourite places in Montreal. The environment is so relaxing & it really helps you get out of the everyday routine.
You have a wide selection of cigars & delicious teas & cocktails. They also offer hookahs.
They often have live music & every time it has been super great. It really adds to the concept & the ambiance of the place. Specially while enjoying a cocktail & a cigar. It's really a vibe.
The waiters are super nice & helpful. They took the time to explain the menu to us & give us good recommendations.
The only thing I would change about the place is that sometimes I would like to have a small food menu too to come with the tea. I could see myself enjoying some cookies or a small muffin. Also I would maybe add some new teas to the menu. Maybe special items you could taste only in some months of the year idk.
This place is awesome, you must visit it if you come to Montreal.
