The coffe shop inside has become apart of my daily ritual, & for good reason. From the moment you walk in, the retro atmosphere pulls you in & it's always buzzing with energy, in the best way. The coffee is genuinely some of the best I've ever had.
My go-to is a vanilla latte with the vanilla on the side (Tony knows exactly why), & it never disappoints.
But what really keeps me coming back is the team. Tony, Tommy, & George are the kind of staff that make you feel like a regular from day one.
Tony especially goes above & beyond - he remembers your order, looks out for you, & his hospitality is just genuine.
He's the one who turned me onto the canolies & the Nutella horns, which are absolutely incredible
I've brought my entire family here one by one, & every single one of them has really enjoyed the coffee & vibe of the place.
If you haven't been yet just go you won't be disappointed.
Food was bland, chicken very dry. Was hard to eat. For the price of about 17$, quality is not there. Really disappointed

Other tables got pizza & pasta & looked great. I will be trying that next time. Coffee is alright
Anthony was our server at the coffee bar, he was amazing & so good at explaining everything. We had the eggplant parm, the grilled octopus, & the arancini, & the burrata salad. Our favourite were the eggplant & grilled octopus, they were delicious. Can't wait to come back!
Edit: We came once more, this time as a group of 10. Reserved 2 days in advance & Tanya was able to accommodate us & all our food restrictions. All the staff is so kind & welcoming, & we had just as good of an experience as last time. Thank you to Charles for serving us tonight 🥰
Was there 2 weeks ago with my kids & some friends & we ate like champions. My kids were licking their fingers even as picky eaters, devoured the grilled octopus, calamari & pizza. Their cutlets are juicy, their pizzas are savory & their pastas ( i shared a few plates with the boys) were one better than the other. I was surprised that their coffee was better than Milano's & Olympico's which means they must have put alot of effort into picking the right beans & calibrating the machine to have the right amount of coffee each time they make an espresso. I'll definitely go back & looking forward to it.
Cafe Gentille DDO made me a nice late & cookie 🍪 the coffee ☕ is well made & the cookie is delicious, & the person who made the coffee was very polite. I love the interior design & the Sicilian flag ❤? Its a very nice place to have coffee in West Island
Café Gentile West Island is consistently excellent. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern & welcoming - great for a casual coffee, a business meeting, or a relaxed lunch or dinner. The coffee is top-tier, rich & smooth, & you can tell they take pride in every cup.
The food is just as impressive. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, & a menu that offers something for everyone What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff - welcoming, attentive, & so genuine that they make you feel right at home. Great experience - Excellent food & portions were more generous than St. Catherine location (I was disappointed with my last visit).
Had the Steak & Cheese sandwich with a 1/2 portion of Rigatoni Rosé.
Service was outstanding - everybody was friendly from start to end.

I heard about this place through word of mouth & decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, from the moment we entered until we left, the service was almost nonexistent even though we had a reservation, we were kept waiting by the hostess.
Our waiter did not check on the table, did not offer suggestions, & there was no follow-up during the meal. Food was delivered by runners or chefs without any greeting or'bon appétit.' No one offered dessert or coffee, & overall there was a complete lack of hospitality & attention.
What made the experience more disappointing is that the tip starts automatically at 18%, which feels forced considering the level of service provided.
Gentile Restaurant the only truly positive part of the evening was the taste of the food, which was genuinely good. With proper service, this place could be excellent.

The stunning architecture makes Cafe Gentile a fun place to go for brunch, lunch or coffee. However, both coffees that I ordered ( Latte & Cappucino) arrived luke-warm. The food was ok, the service attentive but clearly trying to clear the table fast (Sunday morning). I have had better coffee, but the atmosphere would motivate me to come back.
Incredible service Jess was a fantastic hostess. Food was really good. Only downside was no decafe coffee. For those of you who are caffeine sensitive this was a drag. It would be nice to enjoy a nice dessert with a coffee without the caffeine. Also bought take out...everything very good.
Hopefully they add decafe coffee to their menu.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious coffee, clean & private bathrooms, service is decent & attentive. For the price is worth it, I rather spend the extra money & come here over any other coffee shop.
Ordered their caesar salad with chicken cutlet & the chicken came out pink with bloody vessels in it & was the furthest thing from crispy like a chicken cutlet is supposed to be. The chicken was actually soggy from being drenched in so much oil omg it was so nasty that I'm still thinking about it hours later. I asked the waitress about the pink chicken with bloody vessels & she said that it's normal. She said everyone always asks why the chicken looks like that but assured me it was cooked through. Despite her assurances, the chicken was inedible to me. Coffee was good. The rest of the food we ordered was OK. Service was mid. I just can't get over the pink & soggy chicken cutlet.

Warm receiption, Amazing presentation & great ambience but unfortunately the mocha I tried wasn't up to the expectations

Café Gentile in the West Island is a great spot. I had an excellent coffee, rich & well balanced. They also offer breakfast options, which is a nice bonus. A solid place to stop for a good coffee & a quick bite.
What kind of restaurant runs out of food at 1pm? I wanted to go for lunch & as I arrived, I was told there's no food only coffee & desserts. I left shocked.
Also, there's no dinner service, yet they are booked in evenings...
They told me it's only for family & friends. Very disappointed. They should focus on their customers, especially since they just opened.
We came here for an afternoon coffee, had the pistachio cookie which was delicious. Great atmosphere & service, happy to have a new restaurant/cafe in the West Island.
