Café des Habitudes is a charming & cozy vegan café located just north of the Mile Ex & rosemont neighborhoods in Montreal.

The space itself is warm, inviting, & thoughtfully designed. There are plenty of seating options, including couches, tables, & cozy corners that make it a great place to relax or get some work done. One of the standout features is a loft-style nook with cushions where you can climb up, unwind, read, or work in a quiet setting. There is also a side door that opens onto a small patio with a few outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying fresh air on a nice day.
One unique aspect of the café is that guests are asked to remove their shoes upon entering, which adds to the comfortable & home-like atmosphere. In addition to food & drinks, they also sell a variety of items in-store, giving the space a subtle boutique feel.
The service was friendly & welcoming, making the overall experience smooth & enjoyable.
Overall, Café des Habitudes is a wonderful spot for quality pastries, good coffee or tea, & a calm, cozy environment. They only have vegan options for milk

The vegan grilled cheese was so tasty, service was good, & helpful.
Very spacious, ( despite having a stroller & winter gear!), & a very grass-roots, cozy vibe- lots of fun seating, couches, cushions, window seats, treehouse! & local artist items for sale. Lovely place to hang out with a friend & a baby :)

This is my go-to place to work from during the week when I need to get out of the house, or to go hang out there on a weekend on or under the'cabana'. They have great sunlight in the afternoon. As a vegan, I love that this is a vegan café/restaurant, but unfortunately, the portions are quite small for the price, & I was not impressed with the meals that I had, so I rarely eat there because of that, which is sad, because I live nearby & I would have loved to go there more often for brunch. I really wish they had vegan croissants!
Super beau café avec différent types de place assises & une terrasse encore plus jolie. Tout est vegan, & ils ont un des meilleurs biscuits aux chocolats que j'ai mangé! Ils ont aussi différents événements en soirée comme des open mic & des silent disco.

J'ai goûté à la Planche à déguster (végane).
J'aime beaucoup la présentation sur une planche, ça fait pique-nique. J'étais sur la terrace sous l'arbre & c'était tellement agréable!
It is such a cozy, dog friendly & kid friendly place!
The food was good, i ate the grilled cheese with the soup & a matcha cookie! Their brownie is to down for & everything is vegan! Sadly they really don't have a lot of food options & i would have loved to have more options…
À mon avis, l'un des cafés les plus chaleureux de Montréal. Ambiance zen, sans prétention, un peu vintage. C'est spacieux & intime à la fois. Les cookies véganes aux pépites de chocolat ❤?

Very nice place & plenty of vegan options ! It was full when we went & most people were sitting on cushions on the floor so you gotta love this vibe. Has an artsy vibe ! & they sell the cutest dry flowers !
J'ai découvert ce lieu il y a 2 mois & j'y suis déjà allée plusieurs fois. C'est un véritable coup de coeur en j'en parle autour de moi. C'est devenu mon lieu de rituel self-care si je veux prendre un moment agréable & relax avec moi même. Bien sûr... Plusieurs fois entres amies aussi! L'ambiance est tellement relax, chill & ultra cosy. On s'y sent super bien. Chaleureux, humain, lumineux. On pourrait y passer des heures. Je prends même mes pantoufles avec moi. J'aime leur carte qui est très personnalisée. Fan de latte & boisson chaude ça fait mon bonheur. Matcha hochiba, cacao golden,... Boisson Réconfort qui sort de l'ordinaire. Leur menu lunch, brunch & biscuit sont vraiment délicieux. On sent tout l'aspect équitable dans notre bouche. Local, bio, vegan. Je me regal. Leur 3, 4 possibilités de repas sont vraiment des plats avec leur identité. J'ai participé également à une soirée open mic comme artiste / spectatrice. Ça fait vraiment du bien de voir d'autres artistes & de jouer dans un contexte hors scène. Très " bonne franquette" dans une ambiance sans être dans la performance mais dans le partage humain & artistique from the heart. Je vous écris depuis le café actuellement en m'offrant ce temps de repos & d'intégration . Hâte de vivre d'autres événements. Cathy
Struggling to give it 3 stars, we're giving two. The interior decor & online pictures are great & very inviting. The coffee & matcha latte were good. We ordered canelé & grilled cheese. The grilled cheese took over 40 minutes to arrive. The clerk said they were slammed with orders & sure the place was decently filled but didn't appear to be overloaded. On a side note, it was a vegan grilled cheese & didn't taste wonderful so we left more than half. It was our mistake for not reading the vegan sandwich so that is not factored into the rating however it's our opinion.

Agréable café , bouffe vegan & beaucoup de goût ! Délicieux cannelés & autres dessert ! Concept « comme à la maison » vraiment sympa ! Pas adapté pour les enfants de 1 à 3 ans selon moi (beaucoup de verre, plantes ... fragiles).
Service vraiment sympathique. L'espace est libre. Dans le sens que nous pouvons manger à table, par terre, sur un fauteuil. Plusieurs livres sont à portée de main. J'ai vu de jeunes familles profiter des espaces au sol. L'ambiance est calme & relaxante, conviviale. La nourriture est végane & délicieuse.
I discovered this cute place randomly one day. I always search cozy coffee shops to study & if the place is great usually they have no vegan option so when I discovered cafes des habitudes my life changed. The place is the cutes thing ever, the food is vegan & is of course delicious & it has the perfect atmosphere to study or work. I do not need to search other places because this is 100% what I was hoping to find in the last years. Also I love the fact that the products are local & there is no plastic waste :) great job! Last thing, they also have a corner with gift ideas either second hand of artisanal!
Je prends toujours soin de lire des critiques sur des sites de confiance sans prêter attention aux images. En effet, c'est par les mots que l'idée de visiter un lieu de restauration m'est vendue. Ainsi, mon plaisir prend racine dans la découverte plutôt que de la connaissance préalable. Une chose est sûre, cependant : même si j'avais regardé les photos du Café des habitudes, je ne me serais jamais attendu à avoir l'impression de pénétrer dans l'aire de jeu d'un McDonald de type baba cool avec des enfants bondissant sur les coussins, s'agrippant l'un à l'autre, & d'autres tenus fermement par leur papounet & mamounette vêtus de bonnets de couleurs. Malgré cette scène résolument festive, je n'ai pu m'empêcher de sentir une certaine mélancolie prenant la forme d'un tourment ressenti en mon torse. Était-ce la décoration aux teintes un peu froides ? Le temps gris ? Le remue-ménage ? Le fait que ma nouvelle coupe de cheveux m'ait enlevé un peu de charisme (en souriant, mon front s'agrandit) ? Un peu des quatre ? Quoi qu'il en soit, je n'étais pas dans mon élément. Alors que je picorais mon assiette végano-écolo-jojo, je ne parvenais pas à séparer de cette étrange sensation. En dépit du goût somme toute agréable - à défaut d'être emballant - des gaufres salée & sucrée, je mangeais sans entrain. Heureusement, un puissant moment amical est venu changer la donne. J'étais en compagnie d'une formidable alliée - sincère, attentionnée, authentique - & nous avons partagé profondément & irrépressiblement émotions, préoccupations, accolades & perles ruisselantes. Tout à coup, le poids jeté sur ma poitrine a été levé, mes lunettes grises, remplacées par des lunettes rayonnantes. J'étais tout à fait détendu & heureux d'avoir vécu ce moment. Je conserve donc de beaux souvenirs de mon séjour chez vous, Café des Habitudes. Je souhaite aussi vous féliciter pour votre souci de l'esthétique, pour votre délicieux chocolat chaud à l'orange & pour le merveilleux biscuit à la courge qui convenait parfaitement comme tombée de rideau.
