I had a wonderful experience at Café Dax Today with my friend!
The café has a cozy, bright, & welcoming atmosphere, making it a lovely place to relax or catch up with a friend. It's conveniently located right across the street from the Outremont metro station.

I ordered the cortado, which was smooth, light, & perfectly balanced, along with a fresh, flaky, buttery croissant.

My friend ordered a delicious milk-based coffee (I forgot the name) & a small almond-flavored cake topped with chocolate. She really enjoyed both, they were fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented.

I was hoping to try the affogato, but unfortunately it was too early in the day since the ice cream wasn't available until 11 a.m. I'll definitely come back to try it next time! They also offer kombucha, a nice selection of other drinks, & an impressive variety of interesting wines.

The staff were friendly, the service was excellent, & everything we tried was fresh & high quality. I highly recommend Café Dax, & I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu! ☕🥐🍨🍷

Dax Café is a beautiful little spot in Montreal with a warm atmosphere, great coffee & a very relaxed vibe. The place feels simple, clean & welcoming, the kind of café where you can sit down, slow down & enjoy your moment. The service is friendly, the quality is consistent & everything feels made with care. Definitely a place I would recommend for a good coffee, a quiet break or a casual meet-up in the city.

An outstanding evening! The inviting decor was the first thing we noticed. The main courses were flavorful, & the sides were the best I've had. Service was impeccable-just the right amount of attention. A must-visit for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience.

This cafe & the hands on customer oriented owner goes above & beyond for the client! This is my favorite cafe in Montreal. I love the atmosphere, the ambiance & the maple oat milk latte is for me, one & only! I discovered this diamond of a place in the summer of 2024 & I have enjoyed many a good meetings & sit downs here with friends & so much good food from the grilled cheese to the dulce ro leche donut I can't say enough positive things about the epicness of this cafe! Dax cafe is about to expand into frozen ice cream gourmet treats so get ready for that as it's going to be one more addition to this already awesome cafe in the heart of Outremont!! Located on avenue Van Horne & open seven days a week even during holidays !!! I'd encourage you to support this Quebec owned local business that is full of heart & high quality coffee & hot & cold , beverages ( including epic wines!) , artisanal goods & ceramics for sale & an indoor & outdoor atmosphere that is gorgeous! If I could give Dax cafe 10 stars I would as they certainly deserve it! Excellent staff, excellent food & drinks.. it is your go to place! The best kept secret in Montreal is this gem!

Ps they welcome dogs on leashes… my Shiba is always welcome here which is yet another example of why Dax is so great!!! 😃

I've been going to Dax for years, & it remains one of my favorite local coffee shops. It's not just a neighbourhood gem, it consistently ranks among the best specialty coffee spots in the city. The team is incredibly welcoming, & their customer service is second to none. They're passionate about what they do, & it shows in every cup. Dax also offers an impressive selection of Canadian-roasted specialty beans, perfect for both casual coffee lovers & serious home brewers. The quality, consistency, & atmosphere make it a place I keep coming back to.

Used to be my favourite coffee spot, but I feel like the quality has gone down in the last year- the coffee used to be richer, creamier; maybe they changed the coffee beans or something, but it's not the same :/ still pretty good though
