This cafe & the hands on customer oriented owner goes above & beyond for the client! This is my favorite cafe in Montreal. I love the atmosphere, the ambiance & the maple oat milk latte is for me, one & only! I discovered this diamond of a place in the summer of 2024 & I have enjoyed many a good meetings & sit downs here with friends & so much good food from the grilled cheese to the dulce ro leche donut I can't say enough positive things about the epicness of this cafe! Dax cafe is about to expand into frozen ice cream gourmet treats so get ready for that as it's going to be one more addition to this already awesome cafe in the heart of Outremont!! Located on avenue Van Horne & open seven days a week even during holidays !!! I'd encourage you to support this Quebec owned local business that is full of heart & high quality coffee & hot & cold , beverages ( including epic wines!) , artisanal goods & ceramics for sale & an indoor & outdoor atmosphere that is gorgeous! If I could give Dax cafe 10 stars I would as they certainly deserve it! Excellent staff, excellent food & drinks.. it is your go to place! The best kept secret in Montreal is this gem!
Ps they welcome dogs on leashes… my Shiba is always welcome here which is yet another example of why Dax is so great!!! 😃
Belle découverte ce matin. Le café latte était parfait. Nous avons partagé le fameux grille cheese & la sandwiche Dax Italien, délicieux! Le personnel sympathique & surtout le propriétaire qui de prends le temps de bien servir & s'assure que les clients sont satisfaits.
C'est permis un de mes Cafés préférés à Montréal, leur Latte d'érable sont vrm très bon. J'ai rien à dire sur le service car j'ai eue un excellent service & l'ambiance était vrm très agréables!!!!! Une de mes Trouvailles personnelles que j'ai découvert cet années!!! Sans compter si jamais vous avait un peu la dent sucrée je vous conseille de goûter au churros en beigne sont vrm excellents. Ma première visite à ce café. J'avais choisi ce lieu pour y rencontrer une amie & lui présenter mon chien. Un des rares restaurants de Montréal qui accepte les chiens à l'intérieur. Un gros plus dans mon cas. J'y ai dégusté un excellent chai latté!
C'est tellement beau de voir ce café ! Les gens, le staff, l'ambiance! Je suis toujours à la recherche d'un nouveau café à essayer & j'ai trouvé la place par hasard. Je pense que le proprio était là, il prenait extra care de ses clients! Que dire du cappuccino & latté? Excellent! Je me suis sentie tellement bien quand j'étais sur place! I'm always excited to discover new coffee shops & Dax had been on my list for a while as it always looked cozy & fun whenever I saw it while driving on Van Horne. My girlfriend & I decided to visit today to get iced drinks on a very hot summer day. When I walked in, I was super happy to see shelves of small-batch coffee beans & cute to-go cups, etc. Honestly, I just really liked the aesthetic & vibes. The baristas were also quite polite. Where it all went wrong for me is the fact that another customer (who appears to be a regular by the name of Thierry) felt it was appropriate to look me over & say I was a "nice view" (TWICE.) What started as a friendly conversation about cortados quickly became weird & uncomfortable. When he asked me for my name & then my last name & I told him I wasn't comfortable, he quietly cussed me out before chatting up others in the coffee shop. Now, I know that this technically isn't the café's fault, but this all happened in front of the main counter & not one employee batted an eye. It didn't make me feel safe & largely because of this I'm not sure I'd want to come back here. Also, make sure to ask for extra syrup in your iced latte or cortado because they really don't put a lot. EDIT: Dominic, thank you for your reply. You must have me confused for someone else because I did not talk to any manager about this. I'm glad you told this man to leave, but that was already after I had left.
Excellent service, les barista sont très avenants & sympathiques. Leur Matcha Latte est très bon, tout comme leur décaff qui est très gouteux. Je recommande chaleureusement, c'est l'un de mes cafés préférés! Très bonne ambiance de surcroit & propreté.
Manager is incredibly sweet. Walked in for the first time today. Asked for a recommendation between lattee & chai lattee. Needless to say, lattee did not disappoint. Parking is iffy, but the friendly environment was worth it! Edit: an hour later, I was given a chai lattee on the house thanks to the manager - such a sweet gesture. Lattee is still the way to go!

J'ai pris un café latte à l'érable avec lait d'avoine & c'était vraiment un des meilleurs cafés que j'ai pris depuis longtemps à Montréal, très velouté & doux au goût, parfait pour une journée pluvieuse. Agréablement surpris par la politesse & l'entregent de l'équipe!
Love this cute cafe! The latte is always on point & the pastries are very yummy. Hard to resist! It has lots of natural light making it an ideal place for coffee dates.
