Amazing drinks & food, even lovelier atmosphere. the kitties are so sweet, it's a great place to do work & relax. I love this cafe, & they even have a great merch collection!!! 🥰
The best café I've found in Montreal (the cats alone might justify it), but even more so, their prices are reasonable, everything is vegetarian, & the food & drinks are amazing! Plus, the workers are super kind & seem genuinely passionate about their job-they're always happy to chat.

LE cat café par excellence à Montréal! Les chats y sont heureux & bien traités par le Refuge Animex, qui gère également leur adoption. Attention à vos muffins & croissants, il y a parfois de petits voleurs à pattes qui s'y intéressent!
Cute café, that's sure to get you your fill of cat love & offer you a nice atmosphere to work or spend times with friends ! It's usually not too noisy, but if you go on "Adoption Day", it may not be the most relaxing space to be in. The cats are from a rescue & are up for adoptions. I've had the latte & the matcha latte which were both amazing ! The coffee beans seem to be a medium roast, so it does offer a more round & full-bodied flavour that isn't too acidic or fruity in notes. Only downside, in my opinion, is that I've received the wrong order in the past & when I went to inquire about it, I was turned back & told that was what I ordered. As someone with food intolerances & dietary restrictions, it makes it a bit more anxiety inducing & concerning.
Over all this was amazing! The kittens were kind & playful, & the adult cats were calm & sweet! There wasn't as big of a selection of food as I expected, & most of the cats were in the back, but, that's totally understandable! I loved the books & layout of the café! Would definitely recommend!

Very cute! The cats are all adoptable & come from shelters. It is obvious the owners take good care of them as they are socialized & lovely. The cafe experience is good too.
It's a nice small cafe with some merch & the cutest cats, my friend is obsessed with Verdun so now I'm seeing way more of that neighborhood than when I actually lived there, this petite cafe is not really known or in the Main Street so you'll have to look for it & be cautious of not just passing by it (which I did 🤣)
Disappointed with my visit to Café Chato. The place was crowded & loud, & we didn't see any cats likely too scared to come out. It wasn't very clean, & some people were just napping there. The atmosphere wasn't what I expected from a cat café. This keeps it brief while still covering the main points.
C'est génial d'avoir un café de chats dans mon quartier! Ils sont en partenariat avec le refuge animex qui est l'endroit où j'ai trouvé le chat pour moi. Leur menu change selon la saison & les options nourriture & café sont bien variés.
Whenever someone new asks for cafe recommendations, I ALWAYS suggest going here. Firstly, the staff are so kind & fun! You can tell they really enjoy their job (which, understandably so!). The food is also incredible. Their cookies are wonderfully soft, sandwiches perfectly crisp, & drinks are absolute heaven. Obviously, the atmosphere here is also amazing (unless you don't like cats, which, in that case, sounds like an issYOU) with multiple kitties running around, napping, & overall being adorable. My only complaint is that it's too popular! Try to avoid peak hours if you want a seat, because it can often be full.
