Come here all the time! Highly recommend the avocado sandwich when you want to be filled up:) best sandwich I've ever had & my favourite place to go to get a bite
Great place to have a nice Persian fog, sandwich looked really good. Higher price tag than usual but overall good quality. Service was not fast, but there was a crowed - which is fair, expected slightly faster.
How can I even explain how amazing of an experience dining here can be. We ate two chicken koukou sandwiches + two milkshakes... each burst of flavour that occured felt like a splash of cold water on a hot sizzling pan. My life is not the same since stumbling upon this place & I will be back. Thank you
A wonderful Persian café with a fabulous brunch, fragrant teas, & truly delicious sandwiches. Everything feels fresh, generous, & made with care. A place that quickly becomes a favourite.
I got the mocha & a roast beef sandwich with no tomatoes & it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is so chic & very cozy. I love the vase by the ordering counter & I want to take it home but I cannot 😔 but it's a very beautiful place 10/10 recommend!!!!
Great place with wonderful creative herbal teas 👌& Persian style sandwiches 🥪
One of the coziest & coolest places in Montreal. Amazing tea & even more amazing (& beyond delicious) sandwiches.
Cozy place but low standards for food & service. We were served cold food (eggs, omlette). The falafel sandwich was dry (imagine felafel in thick barbari bread with a bit of mayo!). Tea was impossible to drink in the jars they served them in & tasted like hot water (because they are not properly brewed & leaves float on top). You pay for food & tip before you get food & service so they don't care when you tell them about your experience. One of the orders came with soup, but we were told after that they didn't have any & they just added more potatoes to the dish which already came with potatoes. Overall disappointing experience. My advice if you end up there is: order coffee & cake & go somewhere else for food, it's not worth it. Don't compromise on your standards.
Edit: Thank you for the reply. My review was not about misunderstanding your concept. I know what quick service means, & I know what tisanes & barbari bread are. The issue was the quality.
Many people think they created something new, but there is a reason no one eats falafel in thick barbari bread. You use it because it is the only bread you have, which is convenience, not ingenuity, & it makes the sandwich dry.
If a tea or tisane tastes like hot water with honey, it is not well prepared.
Requiring customers to tip before receiving food or service creates responsibility. If the service does not meet expectations, the simple solution is to apologize & offer a refund, or remove the pre tip option & let people tip at the end.
Regarding the soup, the problem was that you knew it was not available at the time of ordering. I asked for the soup of the day, & you serve only one soup, so the shortage was already known but not mentioned.
You may win awards for decor or menu photos, but the food quality did not match that level.
My review reflects the experience we had.
This café is truly a hidden gem! The food, the teas, the homemade cakes, the sandwiches, & the smoothies - everything is absolutely first class. You really have to try it!
I visited this cafe on two occasions since it is considered a very popular cafe & eatery within walking distance of my hostel.
When you walk in, the atmosphere is both cozy & romantic with its moody lighting & vintage furniture.
I've tried their highly coveted Persian London fog & saffron cake & falafel sandwich. While the falafel was made fresh, the flavors were unfortunately lacking & dry that I finished more than half my beverage to help wash it down before finishing my sandwich. The saffron cake was sweet & 1-dimensional & the London fog tasted nothing more than sweetened milk.
We tried their Khatoun shake, koukou chicken sandwich, saffron cake & latte. Everything was delicious & the experience was great. Their staff was very friendly & helpful. Had an amazing experience on our trip to Montreal
Been wanting to check this place or for awhile. It's so nice. Great atmosphere inside. It's really cozy, vibey & intimate. Saw some people studying, couples in a lunch date, & solo eaters... so people of all kinds. I ordered the tuna sandwich & it was very fresh & delicious. It is a bit pricey enough $20. They also have teas & desserts so good place for this.
Very busy, so popular. Delicious lunch. Falafel sandwich a d lentil soup. We shared & thank goodness as the portions were large. We would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch.
Fantastic place! We had a falafel sandwich & a sandwich called Koukou (vegetarian) very tasty & refined. Also the drinks (a smoothie & a cucomber drink with mint) were super. Can only recommend this place, as also the decor & ambiance is very cozy.
I have been here twice & it is amazing. The mountain omelette is perfect, the potato koukou sandwich is perfect, & the London fog left me speechless for real. The staff is great, the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend, don't miss this spot!
Lovely cozy little spot to grab lunch! The prices for food & drinks were somewhat on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it for the quality. Highly recommend their fresh & delicious sandwiches.
I am in love with their sandwiches. I tried their vegetable sandwich & it contains pesto sauce which is so delicious. Also, their milkshake & persian fog which has a unique saffron & pistachio flavour & I would definitely recommend to try it.
Highly recommend the chicken sandwich. It's the classic Persian Olivier salad. The fresh bread used in the sandwich is really good.
We had the Persian Fog & the Kereshmeh. The Kereshmeh smoothie goes greatly with the chicken sandwich.
