A hidden gem full of Persian charm!
This super cute & uniquely designed Persian café completely stole my heart. The food was absolutely delicious, & the coffee-rich, aromatic, & bold-was exactly what I needed. ☕?
You can truly feel the soul of Persian culture here. The owner, an architect, has done an exceptional job creating a space that blends authenticity, beauty, & warmth in every detail. From the handpicked décor to the cozy ambiance, it's like stepping into a little piece of Iran.
Don't miss their wide selection of herbal hot & cold drinks-refreshing, soothing, & full of character! 🥤
Highly recommended if you're looking for a place that offers not just a meal, but an experience.
Actually amongst one of my favorite coffee shops now, the smoothies are great, & the staff are very patient. I went when it was just a little bit busy but the wait time was quite average I'd say. I do like that they do smoothies differently, definitely very inspired! Price is reasonable for what you're getting & the ingredients used. :)!
Adorable & classic artistic Persain decorations & warm cozy vibes, full of young people, super popular on weekends, especially today I just went there. Service could be delayed due to high demand of customers, but staffs are very responsive & friendly. They are extremely calm & cool, genteelly showed the generosity when a customer accidentally broke a glass lamp next to the window. You can see this is the warmth from Persain people. Coffee & rice cake were fantastic, the rice cake was combined with rose water inside, very fresh. Lentil soup was not to my likings because there's a herb inside I didn't like much but it's freshly & well-made. Price is fair. What amazes me the most was their collection of meaningful books along the bar seats. I really enjoyed the vibes here. Last but not least, pray for Iran & Iranian people, for love & peace you all deserve.
We stopped in for brunch with friends while visiting for the weekend, & everything exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, the coffee was outstanding, & the atmosphere was absolutely charming. Highly recommend!
Came here with my wife. An incredibly charming spot. Loved the vibes & coffees!
Cozy place but low standards for food & service. We were served cold food (eggs, omlette). The falafel sandwich was dry (imagine felafel in thick barbari bread with a bit of mayo!). Tea was impossible to drink in the jars they served them in & tasted like hot water (because they are not properly brewed & leaves float on top). You pay for food & tip before you get food & service so they don't care when you tell them about your experience. One of the orders came with soup, but we were told after that they didn't have any & they just added more potatoes to the dish which already came with potatoes. Overall disappointing experience. My advice if you end up there is: order coffee & cake & go somewhere else for food, it's not worth it. Don't compromise on your standards.
Edit: Thank you for the reply. My review was not about misunderstanding your concept. I know what quick service means, & I know what tisanes & barbari bread are. The issue was the quality.
Many people think they created something new, but there is a reason no one eats falafel in thick barbari bread. You use it because it is the only bread you have, which is convenience, not ingenuity, & it makes the sandwich dry.
If a tea or tisane tastes like hot water with honey, it is not well prepared.
Requiring customers to tip before receiving food or service creates responsibility. If the service does not meet expectations, the simple solution is to apologize & offer a refund, or remove the pre tip option & let people tip at the end.
Regarding the soup, the problem was that you knew it was not available at the time of ordering. I asked for the soup of the day, & you serve only one soup, so the shortage was already known but not mentioned.
You may win awards for decor or menu photos, but the food quality did not match that level.
My review reflects the experience we had.
As a food blogger & a coffee lover, I really like the vibes there!
Their drinks are so refreshing & It feels like home to me !
Try their home made cakes!
Really nice & relaxing cafe that we went to for a rest & relaxing coffee & tea time.
Really lovely. Really loved the vibe around here. I just had an almond cappuccino, & stay there for a while.
Definitely recommend this coffee
The rosemary cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had. The pastry was stupendous & spectacular. The vibes & warmth & coziness of the establishment were fantastic. The coffee was decent & the food was good with a nice variety of flavours that complemented each other. Also love the fantastic reads scattered all throughout the restaurant. I'd be back in a heartbeat for coffee & their desserts/pastries.
Amazing cafe with lots of coffee & teas to choose from. The food was delicious & offered a variety. Very popular place so it gets busy quick but well worth the wait. Not a big place so it gets packed inside. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
Didn't have food but I ordered a cappuccino. Cappuccino was not mind blowing it was ok, can't taste the coffee much. However, I really like the interior & ambiance of the place. Staffs are very friendly. It feels very cozy in here so
Very cute place with a warm & cozy & indeed, authentic ambience. The coffee & food was good BUT the service style is really not commensurate with the prices. Waiting to order in a line, not even getting served water on entering - take away from the experience. The servers also seem overworked. A better handling on service & logistics will make it a 5 out of 5 place!
Mediocre latte, especially for the very high price ($6.61 with taxes!). Beautiful decor & lovely ambiance. I would come back to try the food, but not the coffee.
I had a fantastic experience at this Persian coffee shop! The Majoun smoothie was so refreshing & full of flavor. The Koukou chicken sandwich was perfectly seasoned & delicious. To top it off, the Ferni dessert was a delightful way to end the meal. The place is nicely decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere, & the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Persian flavors!
Aunja, a quaint Iranian restaurant in Montreal, presents an intriguing mix of promising flavors but is unfortunately marred by service & logistical issues. During our recent brunch visit, we ordered an Americana coffee, ginger tea, & a Snowman Kiss. For food, we went with the lentil soup, sausage omelette, & melted cheese omelette. While the food was delicious & rich in flavor, the overall experience left much to be desired. The service & the layout of the place require a major overhaul. Despite reserving a table in advance, we were surprised to learn that we had to pay for our orders upfront before being seated. Worse yet, it took nearly an hour to receive our drinks & an additional hour to finally get our food. There also seemed to be serious operational gaps, with staff frequently stepping out to fetch condiments & supplies from a sister company nearby. This created a disjointed atmosphere, leaving us with the sense that the restaurant was ill-prepared for its customers. All in all, though the food was enjoyable, the long waits & chaotic service took away from the dining experience, leading to a 2 out of 5 stars rating.
