One of the best cafes in Montreal! The food & drinks here are always amazing - the coucou, cake with rose water, & Persian fog are some of the best things I've ever had. The vibes are immaculate, it's a super cosy spot. The only issue is that it's always full (fair enough), so I wouldn't recommend it for studying or working.
Very delicious food, I got the mountain eggs & my husband got the Petit Déjeuner Iranien we also got the Persian dog & a smoothie, everything was 10/10 & the staff was very friendly & nice, just wish that the whole menu was halal
Amazing food & tea! I enjoyed a delicious rice pudding with my Persian Fog. Ideal place to relax after a visit at the MBAM, cozy relaxed atmosphere & friendly service.
Several vegetarian & vegan options, which you hardly find in a Persian cafe/ restaurant. I had the kuku sibzamini, which is one of my favourites of our cuisine. They were definitely different than my mom's but really good. If your mom does them like small little kottles & not so mushy inside, you will find something different here, but still very delicious. Maybe it's also a regional thing I don't know enough about since I was born & raised outside of Iran.
They also have kuku sabzi & some other kukus which they serve on Iranian bread. You will also find shole zard & Persian drinks.
The service is also super friendly & nice to speak to. The cafe itself is very comfy. I wish there were more places like this which represent our culture, & do not only specialise in a pile of rice with kabob.
I had a very nice experience & would definitely come often if I lived here.
Beautiful place for hanging out with your friends. The food is great. Make sure to try the Saffron cake & Persian tea 🫖
A nice & cute spot. We came for a late brunch & shared two drinks & plates for two; the food is good, the drinks are great.
An interesting menu with unexpected beverages, both hot & cold. Personal highlight: the Persian Paradise, a drink featuring saffron, orange blossom, & basil seeds, which is surprising (in a good way) in both taste & texture. Many other teas, smoothies, & milkshakes I'd love to try.
Only minor drawback: you order & pay at the counter, though the food is brought to your table. The ambiance is pleasant, the decor is great, & the staff is nice. Would come back.
Cozy nice cafe, local gem, the Persian Fog would be amazing if it wouldn't be served so scorching hot, have to wait for long time to cool it down. The drinks should be served with drinkable temperature, it is always possible to balance boiling water with a cold one after brewing a tea.
I love the Persian fog. It tastes just amazing. The saffron cake is also another to go option for me. We also tried a new tea which tastes so refreshing, but I forgot the name. The atmosphere is very nice very cosy & welcoming. I'd recommend it.
Good vibe & great service from friendly & happy staff however the Persian fog I had was not great & it costs $8 plus tips
I wish I could have rated 5+ for the atmosphere. I love their quietness & uniqueness.
For drinks, I ordered the Persian fog tea. It was delicious.
Quaint cafe with good Persian food. We had our breakfast here & thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast sets - full breakfast which came with lentil soup & mountain omelette. The Iranian bread that came with the sets were really good. Great service from the team as well!
Cafe aunja offers a very delicate & elegant Persian-inspired environment. It's a perfect place for afternoon tea. I tried their specialty tea - Persian Fragrance. An amazing combination of different flowers, a bit sourness from the lime, & a bit sweetness from honey. Highly recommended!
Very busy & crowded, had to wait for a table for a while but Persian Fog was amazing & service & vibes were lovely.
I am in love with their sandwiches. I tried their vegetable sandwich & it contains pesto sauce which is so delicious. Also, their milkshake & persian fog which has a unique saffron & pistachio flavour & I would definitely recommend to try it.
Highly recommend the chicken sandwich. It's the classic Persian Olivier salad. The fresh bread used in the sandwich is really good.
We had the Persian Fog & the Kereshmeh. The Kereshmeh smoothie goes greatly with the chicken sandwich.
Such a lovely cafe. The space is so warm & welcoming - perfect for a cold, grey day. I had a breakfast & a Persian Fog (so delicious!) & spent some time reading & enjoying.
