I picked this place for me & my friend on a whim for our first visit - & it turned out to be such a great choice. The charcuterie was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, perfectly paired with a lovely glass of wine. The atmosphere really tied it all together: warm, modern, & effortlessly stylish. During a vacation in Montréal, I had dinner at Buvette Beaubien. I was a little hesitant to go there because I'd read that it was a good place for a hamburger, & I'm not crazy about hamburgers. But I was hungry & it was late. I was greeted warmly & treated like royalty. The waiter was professional & friendly & never tried to hurry me. The menu had plenty of choices besides hamburgers, & I was happy to see a lot of wines available by the glass, which is not always the case in Montreal. I ordered a grilled salmon sandwich & a glass of wine. It was absolutely wonderful! Although I'm sure I've said this before about a delicious meal, I truly think it was the best meal I've ever had. Highly recommend this spot. Great atmosphere & delicious food. We were four & got the chefs choice menu -- for 41 cad you get a sampler of appetizers, entrees, & dessert. The particularly nice thing is that we got 4 different appetizers, & 4 different mains so you get to try a ton of tasty stuff. The highlights to me were the mushroom tart & the tartare but all of the dishes were good. Really extensive wine list & great service as well.View more

Great neighborhood wine bar/restaurant. The staff is super friendly, yet professionnal. The food is always exceeding my expectations.
