Boisterous atmosphere in a cosy environment. The pub was the neighborhood watering hole where I grew up. A good place where one could wander in solo or with some friends for some boozy drinks, conversation & of course some solid eats. Service is strong here & the food hits the mark. Just had a burger & fries on my visit with a BL house ale. Good times.
Très belle expérience ! Nous sommes venus entre collègues pour un 5 à 7 & nous avons été installés dans une banquette très confortable, parfaite pour notre groupe. Nous avons reçu un excellent service & tout le monde a apprécié son plat. La nourriture était délicieuse, & le rapport qualité-prix plus que satisfaisant. Les cocktails étaient bons, mais sans plus. Le décor est vraiment très beau. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour une sortie entre amis ou collègues. Une belle découverte !

Great place to watch sports, especially football (soccer) accompanied of great drinks & food, although a little bit on the higher side of prices. Service is great & they will make sure that you're being well taken care of.
It used to be good, but it has changed. Food is mediocre. I had fish & chips, & It tasted like It just got out of a frozen box & mixed in a batter that was sitting there for a full day (not fresh). The chips(fries) were cold & oily-soggy. My partner has the steak pie, & there was more sauce & non meat, for the price we expected better. If you sit near the kitchen & washroom area, It has a sewage-moldy smell... Very odd. Or could that be the ventilation system? Not too pleasant. There's not much to say about the service. They were doing their jobs, that's all. Lack of smile, It almost felt that some didn't want to be there or just tired. The atmosphere of the pub is fun, that's the only good part of it. I do not think to return for a while.
Went before a concert next door! Super atmosphere, food was delicious & service really fast! Staff was really welcoming & accommodating, very knowledgeable & helpful to help with Scotch suggestions (list is very impressive)! I recommend this place without a doubt!
I recently organised a 5 à 7 at the Burgundy Lion with some colleagues from the office & I have to say that it was perfect from start to finish. We were around fifty people, & despite the large number of guests, the service was excellent. The restaurant staff were not only polite & available, but also very friendly & welcoming. They adapted to our lively group with great professionalism, even adding a touch of conviviality that helped to make the evening memorable. The service was also fast & efficient, which is all the more impressive given the context of a 5 à 7 where people don't all eat at the same time & seats change frequently. Despite this, every guest was attended to quickly & with a smile. In short, impeccable service, friendly staff & their ability to adapt to groups of all sizes make them a top choice for a successful evening.

Food was very good, wouldn't say excellent. We've had the shepherd's pie & fish&chips multiple times. The shepherd's pie was missing salt & the fish was greasy (seems as if the oil wasn't hot enough when cooking), french fries were amazing. Service was excellent! The negative side.... Music was way too loud, as a matter of fact , the apple watch said that it was at 90 decibels & we would go deaf in 30 minutes. I'm not sure if that's their tactic to get people out after eating... it certainly worked for us.
Best British pub in the city! Great neighbourhood vibe, staff is the best! Love their Burgundy Ale & incredible selection of whiskey choices. Their yearly St George's Day Pub Bus tour is so much fun! The double decker bus drive us for fun & drinks at Bishop & Baggs for breakfast, Britt's & Chips for lunch, Wolf & Workman for cocktails then dinner at the Burgundy Liion. Fun, fun, fun with new & old friends, Knights, touring the city & slaying the dragon ending.
I really enjoyed eating there. Altought they forgot the chicken on my salad, they brought it out super fast (& cooked) everything was super tasty & generous.
The whole staff & the administartion was very helpful in kind in helping me organize an event for my university class. Everyone had a great time, I will definitely be going back there for a drink in a nice ambiance.
