Vraiment, un endroit super, avec de la bonne bouffe anglaise, des bonnes bières & bons whiskys, une ambiance en soirée parfaite & un des meilleurs services que j'ai reçu depuis longtemps (merci, Simon!). Je recommande!
The local watering hole! Great pub, fun atmosphere & consistent pub food! You can't go wrong with their fish & chips! Chill wait staff that make any visit a good time!

The food was great, but be warned if you have allergies, specifically a chickpea allergy! The menu does not list all ingredients, at least on the drink menu. I ordered the Chili Chili Bang Bang cocktail & had a couple sips before I realized I was having an allergic reaction. They use aquafaba (chickpea water) instead of egg whites to make the drink foam. This was not listed anywhere in the ingredients, or even mentioned that there was foam. Thankfully this allergy is not life-threatening & I noticed right away, but this could have gone much worse. So please, management, list ALL ingredients in your menu to save someone. I let my server know & my drink was comped, but it would have been extra nice if my replacement drink was on the house. My burger & fries tasted great though!
Très bel endroit charmant, situé dans le sud ouest du centre-ville de Montréal & de Griffintown près du canal Lachine. Nous avions profité de la terrasse en pleine journée pour, la serveuse Olivia a su nous offrir un service amical & personnalisé hors-pair. La bouffe est excellente : ma petite amie a goûté à l'agneau pour la première fois & elle a adoré. Quant à moi, le steak frite est excellent & bien saignant. Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Je recommande cet endroit chaleureux & convivial!
Great atmosphere, great food & beer & most of all we want to thank all the staff at the Burgundy Lion , for their excellent service , taking care of our group & always with a smile as busy as it got , they made our night magical & memorable - Slainte !!
I wish I had thought to come here for brunch years ago! The food quality was out of this world, the service was fantastic & we got a prime spot on the terrasse with no wait (we had made a reservation but you can't specify where you want to sit). I normally prefer the novelty of trying new places when I dine out, but this place had me wanting to become a weekly regular! It's definitely at the top of my list.
I went to this restaurant a few times many years ago & had the Full English Breakfast, it was very good so when I felt like such a breakfast again I suggested to my friend that we go there. I am not sure what that mess they gave me was all about but it was the most horrible breakfast I remember ever having! I had a better "English" Breakfast in Turkey, if one can believe it🤔 Everything was wrong with it, instead of bacon slices they gave a one inch square of pork fat, half a slice of cheap ham, a skinny little sausage, I mean everything was so low grade I can't figure out how they get away with giving people such nonsense to eat right here in MONTRÉAL! Maybe they thought we were from out of town & may not return, because I cannot imagine them giving this to any Montrealer! At this point, mentioning the bill is pointless because am not adverse to paying for average to excellent food. This was way below average! The 2 star is intended for the waiter who was polite & had no control over such a horrible experience.
Waitress was exceptional . Food was great , however we were waiting for other guests to arrive & would have liked more sharable apps for the table (example nachos). Otherwise everyone enjoyed their meal. Atmosphere was nice. Highly recommend. Nice place for friends & family.
We stayed at the terrasse, that was beautifully decorated & clean. The service was good , the waitresses are attentive. We ordered only the samosa & shepherd pie, both good , especially the pie, stuffed with lamb instead of grounded meat. The samosa comea with cheekpees. My critics go to the menu, cause they dont have variety . I also missed originality. But I notice that inside is very beautiful & fancy, maybe the experience would be better .
Superbe pub pour les évènements sportifs. L'atmosphère est super & le décor est vraiment digne d'un Pub Anglais. Le pub offre beaucoup de spécialité anglaise à un prix raisonnable. J'ai grandement apprécié leur Shepherd's Pie qui était bien assaissonné en plus d'être farci d'une bonne viande d'agneau tendre & juteuse. De plus, leur Burgundy Lion Ale (bière maison) est parfaite pour accompagner un plat copieux & un match de foot. Je recommande également cet établissement pour les amateurs de whisky/whiskey/scotch comme moi. Leur carte de whisky est très complète & il y en a pour tous les goûts en plus d'offrir la possibilité de faire une dégustation personnalisée. La carte est bien divisé selon les régions & les pays afin d'être le plus sélectif possible sur son whisky. Un lieu idéal à ne pas manquer pour les matchs de foot.
