I had an amazing experience at burgundy lion & a big part of that was thanks to Tony. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly attentive, kind, & knowledgeable. They made sure we had everything we needed, checked in at just the right moments, & even took the time to recommend some fantastic drinks based on our preferences. Their expertise in cocktails & spirits was impressive, & they clearly have a deep passion for what they do. Beyond their professionalism, they created a warm & welcoming atmosphere, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. When I visited Burgundy Lion 2 years ago, I came out of there very happy & satisfied. Not so much this time, a week ago. The food was just ok. I ordered the Fish'n Chip, ans in my plate there was not a french fry longer than 1 inch. In other words, the fries were only small bits of very dark fries. Very disappointing. Then for dessert, I was looking forward to have their famous Sticky pudding. The portion was the size of a deck of cards, there was no syrup around it, very dry, & the $3 scoop of ice cream I ordered with it was the size of a golf ball, & I'm generous. Again, very disappointing. This was my last time at Burgundy Lion, & I don't think I will recommend it to my friends & collegues.View more

I reserved the atrium to host a celebration of life for my mother. Nancy was wonderful to work with. There were no hiccups or issues with anything. Sabrina, our host, was excellent. The A/V worked out perfectly for our slide show. The food was delicious & plentiful. I ordered savory & sweet apps plus mains for our group. The drink selection was excellent. I 100% recommend. The food waa really good, the waiters were really nice, & the service was quite rapid. My only complaint is the price of cocktails is quite high, but otherwise it was an amazing dinner. I definitely recommend going here for dinner.View more

Probably my favourite pub in MTL. The food is very good (relative to pubs) - I've had their Shepherd's Pie, Burger, Fish & Chips, & Tikka Masala. So far, my favourite is the Fish & Chips. The Tikka Masala was average, the burger is quite good although inconsistent, & the Shepherd's Pie was tasty. I love their Murphy's Irish stout. It always tastes great & they're generally poured well. One small critique would be bubbles in the head. Otherwise a great pint. I recommend this place to anybody who loves a pub with good food, beer, ambiance, & old-style decore. It doesn't disappoint.View more

A phenomenal British Pub! Good food, good beer, great atmosphere! We did the Private Whisky tasting. The Whisky was amazing, but the experience was made a thousand times more special by Toby. Learning the history behind Whisky & how various distillers work was incredible. Toby's knowledge is vast & his passion is invaluable to the entire experience. via LibroMade a reservation for the high tea brunch but wasn't on the menu on place. Very loud. Staff very confuse with the orders & didn't bring the basic stuff for the table like utensils. Had to ask for everything but it was very long to get them or ever. The food was good for the price i guess. I don't recommend.

Went here for the first time based on a recommendation & very glad we did! Coming from Toronto we wanted to try to support some local restaurants, especially during Covid times!
Wait staff & greeter were very friendly & the food tasted great, I had the Manchester Curry with Shrimp & my friend had the burger. The Sticky toffee pudding will not disappoint either!
I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the neighborhood!

A beautiful ambiance in a sun-lit room decorated with plants. The teacups are mismatched to give a cute, modern vibe. Both savoury & sweet services are delicious. Excellent service!
