This was $22. I was so excited to try this place after seeing the reviews & photos. Walked 25 minutes in the heat wave today to get there. They ran out of gluten free buns & when they said a lettuce bun, I thought it would be an iceberg lettuce like other places I've been to. It was two pieces of lettuce that got soggy & I had to use a knife & fork trying not to get the paper from the basket on it. But they served it in a basket so it was difficult to cut. The waffle fries were cold. I was really hungry so took what I could get.
Super disappointed after having high expectations & paying a lot.

Food is ok, but nothing extraordinary. The burger was really nice & well cooked, but the fries were overcooked, it felt like they were twice in the oil (& you can see it in the photo).
Service is less than average: it took them more than 5 minutes to give me a table when there was plenty of them free. Plus, I had to ask multiple times to get ketchup & the bill. & the attitude was not warm or kind at all. I think only the manager did the effort.View more

One of the best burgers I've ever had. & I've had many! This place ranked in my top three:) I took the old style (can't fully remember the name) burger - amazing, & the kimchi fries were good, though the onion rings were the best. The truffle burger was really good, except the fries were a little overcooked. The price for the burger was maybe a little expensive, but it was one of the best vegan burgers I've had. The vanilla milkshake was good as well, but was a little smaller than expecting for $10.View more

The burger was mind blowing. Not kidding. The pulled « pork » burger was one of the yummiest I've had, the'I want this at my wedding' kind of good.
The fries however were really mid, & it really hindered the dish. They had no crisp & were not seasoned, although the mayo was alright. The poutine was also not really tasty. The bathroom are downstairs & were also a bit dirty & icky.
That's the only reason I'm taking 1 star out, but honestly the burger was insane. I do recommend checking it out!View more

10/10 my favourite resturant as someone who is vegan the staff are nice, great variety of options! nice atmosphere for dine in, food is always still fresh even when you do take out. Their fiance poutine with the mock chicken & kimchi fries are my favourite ! Along with their old school burger & mamma mia burger. Floats are great tooView more

I was really excited to go to Burger Fiance & try their burgers. We placed an order for vegan classics poutine (11$) , fiance burger (22$) & vegan sundae (12$).
Regarding food, I liked the burger, I mean it was of good size & had many things in it , I loved that they had onion ring in it & it was decent. But, the fries accompanying the burger were really greasy & they made me full, I just feel like they can be made better. Classic poutine was an average dish, it didn't sit well with my taste pallet. Loved, vegan sundae, it's really hard to find vegan vanilla ice cream usually & felt so good to have it.
About Ambiance & decor, it's cute & inviting I must say. They had outdoor seating as well. Music is good. Toilet were clean & they are in basement.
About service, I honestly felt that they treated us very differently. They didn't let us sit for long time even though they had empty tables & upon that after we were settled in a table, the waitress asked us to move to the corner table. &, an other waitress took our order & she took it wrong, I have no complaints about it because mistakes happen, I appreciate that the moment she realized it wasn't something we ordered she just replaced it, no fuss.
But, I wasn't given any cutlery or tissues. They just gave to my husband & not me. I was very disappointed with that. I just hope everyone is treated the same.View more

I am not vegan nor vegetarian but I thought I give this a try. Honestly, the ‚pulled pork' burger was one of the best burgers I ever had. It is not lacking anything & really is a dream. I saw room for improvement with the fries, which were a bit cold. If anyone says vegan food is boring they can be sent here for education.View more

Kimchi fries are really flavorful as expected & the burger has a really nice taste too.
The only minor thing I personally felt was that it was a little greasy for my taste. Both, patty in the burger & fries. But as I said the test was really nice & so was the atmosphere & service.View more

The fries & shakes were truly amazing! But, the girl who served us was kind of rude. Even after giving her a tip, she was saying that we should pay her 15 to 20% of the bill as tip, & that is how it works in Montreal! I totally understand that tipping is a way to respect their service towards us, but demanding tip like this felt like an insult slapped on our face. I am giving 2 stars for the food, as it was amazing! But, service really matters & since we got insulted like this, we would never visit this place again! We came from Ontario to Montreal to celebrate our new year & this is what we got. What a way to end the first day of new year!!View more

My friend (vegan) & I (not vegan) came to this place before a night out. We both took the same burger, which was the truffle burger & I had it with a side of Ceasar salad & she had it with fries. The burgers were absolutely delicious. The flavors & ingredients meshed amazingly together, the truffle taste was out of this world. Very filling food as well. For non-vegans, i honestly couldn't tell the difference between the impossible burger & a regular beef burger. The salad was great & had an awesome crispy topping, I think capers? Absolutely *delicious!* I had the spicy "chicken" burger, & my partner had the non-spicy one. Everything was impeccable, from the burger to the fries to the milkshakes we had! The staff was super friendly & accommodating to food allergies, the playlist was great [Zappa, Smiths, Nick Drake!!] plus it's adorable inside. Amazing!!! I am raw vegan but i sometimes crave a good vegan burger to break the pattern. I ordered the Fiancé burger: it was outstanding with delicious fries. The young lady managing the place is very welcoming, knowledgeable & energetic! I loved this place, the food as well as the service! Portions are quite generous as well! Friendly service. We ordered the Mamma Mia & Truffle burger, flavours were there but I find the impossible patties not thick enough to really taste them (considering the price) also the poutine fries were a little undercooked but gravy was delicious!View more

A wonderful array of vegan burgers. I enjoyed the Old School (their version of vegan bacon is the best I have had) while my brother thought the Fiance was excellent. He also gave high marks for the substantial side salad. I tried the house cut fries which were a bit soggy. But a minor point. Nice atmosphere. Very good service.View more

Delicious pulled pork burger. Wasn't a fan of the kimchi fries that many recommend...the fries below the kimchi were cold. Would go back for any of the shiitake mushroom based burgers. They also have lots of soda varieties like cream soda & orange cream soda. Staff was friendly. Interior & ambiance was fun. Restroom was clean..running low on tp...the toilet seat cover needs to be repaired & shifted.View more

Shared the house patty fiancé burger & the upgraded kimchi fries with my husband & it was the perfect amount of food for lunch. Burger was one of the tastiest veggie patties I've had. With the "bacon & cheese" it reminded me of steak & shake burgers. This was my first kimchi fries experience. The pickled veggies added so much flavor & somehow didn't make the fries all soggy.
