Located in the heart of Crescent Street, Burger Bar Crescent offers Gourmet Hamburgers, Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes and many other Burger delights. Our upstairs area offers groups for sports nights or parties of any kind the privacy and atmosphere to relax and have a good time.
Burger Bar Crescent is praised for juicy, well-balanced burgers and a diverse menu that runs from smash burgers to Wagyu and bison options, with standout picks such as the Quebecois, Roadhouse, Supersonic, and Firestorm, along with excellent fries, poutine, and a solid beer and cocktails list. The atmosphere is repeatedly described as cozy, lively, and family friendly, with a convenient terrace and fast, friendly service noted by many, though a few visits mention busier times leading to slower service and occasional mistakes. Food quality gets glowing remarks for freshness and flavor, while some reviewers call out rare misses like veggie burgers that are too sour and salty, dry mac and cheese, or a burnt burger, but these are framed as exceptions rather than the rule. Overall, it comes across as a top Montreal option for burger lovers seeking generous portions, plenty of drink options, and a vibrant, easygoing setting in the heart of the city, with many planning to return on future visits.
Excellent place to have GOOD burgers. I asked for the doble patty with poutine, instead of French fries aside. Delicious. & a Sangria to drink. Nice place to have lunch or dinner. Excellent service. I recommend it a lot. Not expensive either.
Bonne adresse.
I tried the Firesomething burger it was tasty but kinda sloppy (2nd photo). My husband's looked way better & was put together nicer. Fries were crispy & the staff was friendly. It cost $27, which is fine, but honestly... I was still hungry after. Also, don't bother upgrading your side to poutine or anything else it's like $5 extra & really not worth it. Decent spot, but not amazing.
I just had poutine for the first time at Burger Bar Montreal, & it did not disappoint! The combination of crispy fries, gooey cheese curds, & rich gravy was absolutely delicious. I can see why it's such a popular Canadian dish!
The flavors blended perfectly, & the portion size was generous. If you're new to poutine like I was, I highly recommend trying it here. A must-try experience in Montreal!
It was on my bucket list to visit as I had been in Montreal a few times before. The restaurant was empty & could sit where I wanted. The staff were friendly & chill but nothing outstanding.
I ordered the poutine & a draft beer. The beer was fresh & excellent, the poutine was average & I think the burger bar can do a better job than this as Montreal is well known for its poutine & smoked meat. For the price, it was messy & while waiting for the kitchen to prepare my order, one employee was literally cleaning the ceiling above the stove & it didn't look hygienic which is the reason for not returning to this venue again. The area itself is funky, cool, vibrant in the weekend but perhaps another dish would have been a better choice? There is a decent burger menu so perhaps a choice.

Visited for the first time ordered a classic poutine which I loved, decent amount that I could barely finish I'd suggest making a reservation before, it was pretty busy & I had a reservation Great place
Love the food & had to come back after a few years. Couldn't stop remembering about it. The staff is super polite the food is great the atmosphere is def wonderful. I live in USA. & I get to Montreal at least 1 time a year or parts of Canadas East. The Burger bar is the 1 place I wanted to get back & have again but I'm glad I got to & bring my wife for her first try of real poutine. She loved it :-) will be back I'm hoping my next visit
Went during F1 weekend, so naturally had to wait for table. We opted for bar seats to soak in the Oilers game, & I am so glad we did. The dynamics of this place & two bartenders are a hoot. They were fluent & fun to watch, mixing up some serious beverages. I decided to hydrate with a long island iced tea, which turned into three. Unfortunately, I took zero photos but the burger I consumed was delicious. Not sure of the name, but it had bacon & over easy egg. My partner had double smashed burger with poutine. He loved it & pretty much inhaled it. I will make it a point to return here when in Montreal!

I lowkey should have looked twice at the bad reviews because this spot was slow as hell on a Monday night. On top of that, we received our order after 3 other tables who were sat after us. The other tables complained. We did not. They were offered free drinks. We just got "Thank you for dining with us" The only saving grace is that my son said the Bougie Smash burger was delicious. Better than 7th Street Burgers? He said YES. However, DO NOT get the buffalo chicken poutine. The ranch & buffalo sauce & the gravy was too much. The fries themselves were soggy. The ice cream machine was out of order so no milkshakes that night. Also, DO NOT order the lemonade. It was incredibly too too sweet. Downright inedible in my opinion. It is to be determined whether we will be back. An hour for a burger on a Monday night at 630pm is not it. I almost left to go to GyuKaku down the block.
