Located in the heart of Crescent Street, Burger Bar Crescent offers Gourmet Hamburgers, Mac & Cheese, Sweet Potatoes and many other Burger delights. Our upstairs area offers groups for sports nights or parties of any kind the privacy and atmosphere to relax and have a good time.
Burger Bar Crescent is praised for juicy, well-balanced burgers and a diverse menu that runs from smash burgers to Wagyu and bison options, with standout picks such as the Quebecois, Roadhouse, Supersonic, and Firestorm, along with excellent fries, poutine, and a solid beer and cocktails list. The atmosphere is repeatedly described as cozy, lively, and family friendly, with a convenient terrace and fast, friendly service noted by many, though a few visits mention busier times leading to slower service and occasional mistakes. Food quality gets glowing remarks for freshness and flavor, while some reviewers call out rare misses like veggie burgers that are too sour and salty, dry mac and cheese, or a burnt burger, but these are framed as exceptions rather than the rule. Overall, it comes across as a top Montreal option for burger lovers seeking generous portions, plenty of drink options, and a vibrant, easygoing setting in the heart of the city, with many planning to return on future visits.
Absolutely loved this place, finally found a place in Montreal with real French fries & not those damn cavendish knock offs. I had the Nordiqes (mostly because I have been a die hard Nordiques fan my whole life & couldn't resist). I had no idea Quebec had their own wagyu beef! I was not disappointed, it was amazing. All 4 of us had a different burger & we all loved it!
Will definitely return on my next visit to Montreal!
Incredible food quality. I was with a party of four. We all loved our dishes. The quality of the burgers! I had the Quebecois. Delicious. The fries are outstanding. We shared the mac & cheese! Probably the best dish you would ever have!
I had consistently good experiences at this restaurant from 2019 to 2024, & it was one of my favorite places, especially because of their vegetarian options. I've always recommended it to friends & family visiting Montreal.
However, during my visit last Friday, the experience was disappointing. The veggie burgers were overly sour & salty, & the mac & cheese was very dry. While I don't mind the pricing, taste & quality are equally important.
This visit was a letdown compared to my past experiences, & it has made me reconsider whether I will return in the future. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously & improves the food quality.
When last night, the atmosphere here is amazing!! The friendly staff & the food was great!! My husband had a massive burger & it was so good! Best French onion soup ever!!
Excellent place to have GOOD burgers. I asked for the doble patty with poutine, instead of French fries aside. Delicious. & a Sangria to drink. Nice place to have lunch or dinner. Excellent service. I recommend it a lot. Not expensive either.
Loved it! It was my first time coming here with the team, & the food honestly surprised me - everything was so delicious. The server was super friendly & attentive, & the atmosphere was great. I'll definitely come again & recommend it to my friends?
Amazing burgers & service! 🍔
The staff were super friendly & the food came really fast. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, & came with a choice of salad or fries. We picked the fries & they were perfectly crispy & delicious! Highly recommend this place if you're craving a good burger.
We ordered Royal burger & super cheddar bison & I really liked the tastes of bison meat
Went with some friends before a concert. As there were 4 of us we booked a table that gave us plenty of time. Service was extremely slow. Over 30 minutes to take the drinks order & the food took over an hour to arrive
Tried this last & it was the best burger, fries & onion rings I've had in a very long time. & the service was amazing. If you're in downtown Montreal please try this hidden gem you won't be disappointed!!!

I tried the Firesomething burger it was tasty but kinda sloppy (2nd photo). My husband's looked way better & was put together nicer. Fries were crispy & the staff was friendly. It cost $27, which is fine, but honestly... I was still hungry after. Also, don't bother upgrading your side to poutine or anything else it's like $5 extra & really not worth it. Decent spot, but not amazing.
