Review Summary

Reviews describe Brocard as a warmly welcoming Syrian restaurant with an open kitchen, cozy vibe and stylish retro decor where dishes are authentic, vibrant and beautifully presented. Diners praise the mezze and mains like fatet mozat, shish barak, sayadeyeh, batersh, muhammara, fattoush, kibbeh and lamb cuts, noting generous flavors, balanced spice and tender textures. Many highlight great value for quality, attentive and friendly service, and a lively yet intimate atmosphere suited for gatherings, dates or celebrations. The tasting menu is often described as flawless and the overall experience as consistently excellent, with standout desserts and drinks such as the Polo drink. Some feedback mentions occasional small portions on ordering platforms and a few minor inconsistencies, but these are outweighed by the overall praise. Overall, Brocard is regarded as one of the best Syrian spots in Montreal, notable for affordable pricing, high quality authentic flavors, warm service and a welcoming space with a nostalgic cinematic ambiance.

Spectaculaire experience from start to finish. Highly recommend the kebab & the shish tawook, & don't forget to end the meal off with their delicious halawet al jibn.

Stopped by for an impromptu lunch & we were blown away. The service was warm, the food thoughtfully curated & so so delicious - the meats were so tender & flavourful, the shish barak is to die for. We haven't stopped talking about the food. One of their drinks (jallab) & their dessert also became instant favourites.

Highly recommend :)

What a pleasure it was to dine at Brocard on New Year's Eve! It was wonderful to find that the food & service were every bit as good as their numerous 5 star reviews suggested. We received a warm & friendly greeting on arrival & we were immediately shown to our reserved table. Given that it was New Year's Eve, the restaurant was busy throughout our visit. Nevertheless, the service was continuously prompt & delightful. We ordered the yalangi (stuffed grapevine leaves), shish barak (veal dumplings) & batersh (eggplant dip topped with veal in tomato sauce). Each of these mezze were exceptionally tasty. My wife also tried the'Tamer Hindi' (tamarind drink) & it was delightfully refreshing. For our mains we chose the fatet mozat (lamb in a tahini yogurt sauce) & sayadeyeh (fried cod fillet). Both of these dishes were also delicious & generously portioned for the price. We didn't have room for dessert, but look forward to returning to try their dessert as well as many other savoury items. We highly recommend this charming restaurant.

My partner & I came here for our anniversary dinner over the weekend & had a lovely experience. Service was incredibly welcoming. The restaurant is small & not overly packed with tables so it feels intimate.

We got their house wine & Polo drink(I recommend!!), shish barak to start, & each got the shish tawook entree. Everything was delicious. Definitely want to come back to try a variety of their mezzes.

Great little date spot or place for friends & celebrations.

Very dissapointed in my order... the food was good but very small portion for the price. The pictures on uber eats are deceiving. I order shish barak (12$) tabouleh (10$) & shish tawook ( 23$) & everything should be at least 5 $ less for the portion.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix! 150$ total incluant tx & tips.

Amazing Syrian food in Montreal! The menu is really tasty, generous, & super affordable. My favorites were the Shish Barak, Fatet Mozat, & Freekeh, all must-tries.

The service was great, especially from Homam, who made the experience even better.

Really really good new opening! Clean & pretty, super friendly service with great recommendations, & delicious food (freekeh was very nice, as were the potatoes on the shish tawook).
