Welcome to the BreWskey Taproom, Montreal’s Old Port brewery!
Just four years since the opening of BreWskey pub, the Taproom opened in 2019 as an expansion of the pub, in order to accommodate our ever growing clientele. Above all, it is our passion for brewing that led us to create the new space: we can now brew our own products on site!
It has been a true labour of love, and the result is Old Montreal’s newest hot spot – seating for 100 people, open plan kitchen and brewery running at full steam, and a large outdoor terrace facing the port itself. It has quickly become a crucial destination spot in Old Montreal for lovers of top quality local beer and food.

BreWskey Taproom comes across as a lively Old Port favorite with a wide, rotating slate of craft beers, including standout NE IPAs and refreshing brews like Brew Juice and Double Framberry, all paired with a menu that features grilled cheese, bacon dishes, poutine and beef brisket that many reviewers found tasty and satisfying; the atmosphere blends rustic decor with a vibrant, casual vibe, two great outdoor patios, and a direct view of the brewing process that adds to the experience; the staff are consistently knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, making the service a highlight even during busy times; while some notes describe the food selection as limited and the prices a bit steep at times, the overall experience remains highly enjoyable for beer lovers and visitors looking for a relaxed, social night out in the Old Port.
I wanted to like Brewsky, but it fell short. The bathrooms were in terrible condition. While the staff were friendly, the service was slow even though it wasn't busy. On top of that, the menu felt limited & the food was just okay - nothing that stood out.
Overall, it's an average spot that could be much better with cleaner facilities, faster service, & a stronger food selection.
I had the Radler & Brew Juice & they were both perfect. We also had the smoked beef grilled cheese & it was delicious. Great outdoor seating, service was wonderful & fast. Highly recommend.
Nice outside patio, lovely location, great service. Meat heavy menu. The nachos were not very good. They tasted like stale chips toasted with grocery store Mexican blend cheese on top. The guac was very cumin-y & the salsa felt more like marinara than salsa.
La place est le fun, belle ambiance & très bonnes bières. La seule chose qui est plate est qu'il y a 3 menus de nourriture différents être le taproom,pub & l'annexe. On ne peut pas commander la nourriture des autres places, mais ils ont la même bière dans chaque établissement. Nourriture bonne & prix correct.
Très bon choix de bières, bonne terrasse extérieure. La nourriture était un peu grasse mais bien préparée (grilled cheese au charlevoix). Nous avons apprecié qu'ils donnent des coloriages pour les enfants, mais il n'y avait aucun plat adapté pour les enfants, dommage.
BreWskey's P-Nut Buster is a creamy, peanut-butter-infused stout with notes of oatmeal, latte, & graham cracker-smooth, bold, & dessert-like without being cloying. Ce qui m a frustré le plus c est le 7 up des enfants... +- 4$ le verre .... remplis de glace... & le tout sans refill....
Un pichet d eau pour 11 jamais rempli....
Bref belle ambiance.....mais facturé a prix outrageux
Not impressed... asked for a pint, & they served me in a small glass. Even though I pointed this out I was still charged for a 16oz pint... Not sure if they thought I was a tourist, & yes I should have checked my bill before leaving, but this is really annoying.
Check your bills people... Not sure if this is a common occurrence at this place.

All the beer was phenomenal at the Taproom! Definitely something to offer for everyone. We both did a dégustation (flight) & were not disappointed. Oh, & the spinach artichoke dip was phenomenal.
Brewiskey is easily one of the best spots in the city to enjoy a beer, especially if you're looking for a great outdoor patio experience. Located in the beautiful Old Port area, the ambiance is unbeatable. I spent an evening there with friends, & it was just perfect - laid-back, vibrant, & full of character. The street outside adds to the charm, with its historic vibe & lively atmosphere, making the whole experience feel special & relaxed.
The outdoor patio is spacious & well set up, making it a great place to unwind with a cold drink in hand. Whether you're catching up with friends or just enjoying the evening air, Brewiskey offers a chill setting that's hard to match. The beer selection is solid, with a range of options to suit different tastes, & the service was friendly & attentive throughout the night.
While I didn't explore much of the food menu this time, the overall vibe of the place is what truly stood out. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back - not just for the drinks, but for the atmosphere & the experience. Highly recommend Brewiskey for a relaxed night out in Old Port.
Braucoup de bieres de type ipa americaines, belle terrasse , bouffe peu diversifiee très grasse , les nachos sont de mise & les burgers , bon service en général, 4 visites depuis 5 ans
Un go-to lorsque je vais sur le vieux port (honnêtement je me rends dans le quartier juste pour ça haha)
J'ai donné un avis sur le pub mais c'est clairement au Taproom que je vais le plus souvent. Un grand choix de bière qui change très régulièrement & me'force' à y retourner souvent haha La nourriture aussi est excellente & le service est A1 👌🏽
