About

Welcome to the BreWskey Taproom, Montreal’s Old Port brewery!

Just four years since the opening of BreWskey pub, the Taproom opened in 2019 as an expansion of the pub, in order to accommodate our ever growing clientele. Above all, it is our passion for brewing that led us to create the new space: we can now brew our own products on site!

It has been a true labour of love, and the result is Old Montreal’s newest hot spot – seating for 100 people, open plan kitchen and brewery running at full steam, and a large outdoor terrace facing the port itself. It has quickly become a crucial destination spot in Old Montreal for lovers of top quality local beer and food.

And that’s what you’ll find flowing from our 30 beer taps: local and regional products we are proud to offer. Come and taste the best of Quebec at BreWskey Taproom in Old Montreal!

The food was great as was the selection of beers. Our only issue was that the waiter was not very friendly.

We had two beers on the patio. We were very surprised: we ordered 16-ounce beers, as listed on the menu. The beers were served in'Brewskey' glasses, which were clearly smaller (at least 10-20% smaller). We asked the waitress, who confirmed that they were indeed 16-ounce beers. If I ever go back to this bar, I'll bring a measuring cup because I seriously doubt what I was told… This practice is becoming more & more common in tourist spots in big cities.

Having an Isaria lager (Isaria is a heirloom german malt made by Weyermann), a Kellerbier, a Triple IPA Milkshake, & a sweet imperial stout.
Canadian craft breweries don't know how to make lagers. Both lagers taste estery & ale-like; lagers should be crisp. The Isaria tastes like a blonde ale, the Kellerbier is as far from Franconia as a beer can be; an ok beer to the untrained drinker but an insult to anyone who visited Franconia. The TIPA & the sweet imperial stout are both excellent. The TIPA tastes fresh with plenty of good aromas & flavors, no oxidation & no hop burn. The stout is also extremely well-made, the coco, choc & vanilla come through beautifully.
Advice to brewers: stick to ales, you do them really well. For lagers, you need some brewing training.

We're from Montreal but we were looking for someplace fun on a Saturday to eat. We stumbled upon Brewski & took a table outside. There were many things for us to eat on the menu including some things for my celiac wife. We ordered some nachos to share & the smoked chicken caesar salad. The waitress was honest enough to say that we should start with the nachos & see if we're still hungry afterwards. Well she was right. The large serving of nachos was more than enough. While eating my wife had found a little piece of plastic in the nachos & showed it to our server. They went back to the kitchen. Upon return,
they told us that they were going to comp the nachos. I objected & offered to pay with a small discount. When they brought the bill the nachos were completely credited. Customer service was up & above & all our servers that came into contact us were amazing. We will definitely be back again. Went downstairs to use the facilities & saw the indoor restaurant space. We would definitely come back here in the winter.

Great beer, we were in the Annexe which was fairly quiet but the main bar was rammed!

Stopped here for poutine & a couple of flights of beer. Really impressed by the strong selection of craft ales, including several brewed in?house. Service on the drinks was a little slow, but the food arrived quickly & the overall experience wasn't diluted. Great bar with a relaxed vibe - well worth a visit.
