A place where it is good to come to relax, at any time of the day of 7 @ 7 and 7/7. A bakery - Coffee bar - Urban cafeteria created by two passionate friends, Riccardo and François.
Overall, Boulangerie Le Toledo is seen as a vibrant bakery with a large and evolving selection of breads, pastries, and a small cafe where both savory and sweet options shine; many reviews praise the freshness and quality of items like focaccia, fougasse, croissants, brioche, and the almond croissant, and bread is repeatedly described as standout while the coffee is solid. The pastry case draws compliments for rich fillings and buttery textures, though a few experiences note issues such as a galette des rois tasting frozen or a pastry dough that seems short on butter, and some croissants with a firmer texture rather than the hoped flaky bite. Service is frequently described as friendly and attentive, with a warm vibe and quick service, yet a couple of comments point to occasional rudeness at the coffee counter and to busy weekend crowds with limited seating. Vegan and seasonal offerings are a plus, including vegan cookies, bowls, and a vegan BLT, and there are consistently praised breads like rye and sourdough and the signature baguette. While prices are sometimes cited as high for the value, many feel the quality and freshness justify it and keep customers returning for bread, pastries, and a reliable coffee fix.
Best patisserie on town, I always go there when I am in the area. Patriarchal bread, crounuts, patisserie
cigars are a must.Their baguettes are excellent.
immediately fell victim to the siren song of a lime-yuzu tart. No regrets. It delivered that glorious punch of tartness that makes your cheeks do that involuntary little grimace. A tart so tart it's linguistically redundant. (Whoever created English really didn't think that one through.)
We also tried the maple tart, which was pleasant & nicely made, though the maple flavour wasn't quite as pronounced as we'd have liked. There was also a sprinkle of hazelnuts on top we're still not entirely convinced was necessary. But overall, still a good tart.
& of course, there was an éclair-because if you're already committing to pastry, you might as well. It was pretty good too.
Our only tiny gripe: we ordered two maple & one yuzu… & received the opposite. But the place was busy, & honestly, pastry confusion is the kind of problem we're willing to forgive.
Not bad at all. Good tarts, good éclair. Math is delicious.

Service was ok, I felt i was disturbing the seller with my choices of bread. No smile. The person that served me at the counter was friendly. I had the patriarchy & the'to die for' loafs. They were tasty but not what I expected. Prices were fair.
Beautiful bakery with so many yummy options! There's new focaccia every day & they have so many options of bread & pastries to choose from. If you're in the mood for savoury or sweet, there's so many options to try! We had the genoa focaccia 10/10 recommend, really big portion sizes & was a great texture. They also have a cafe so you can get a full breakfast or even pop by for some caffeine to get through the day. I will definitely be coming back there was so much variety I need to try more!

We bought a galette des rois, some croissants, & a brioche. We had high expectations as everything looked beautiful & the ratings were high. What a disappointment! No taste of butter whatsoever. The croissants have a firm honeycomb texture inside instead of being that soft, buttery flake. Same thing with the galette des rois. Good marzipan filling, not too sweet. But the flaky dough has zero taste of butter. What is a viennoiserie without butter.
Give this place a miss if the idea of lining up for bread in postwar current-day Canada doesn't float your boat. The bakery in the old bank up the street will set you up with some awesome product within minutes & you'll be home for Christmas.
