La nourriture & le vin sont excellents. La présentation des plats est magnifique! Cependant, gros bémol au niveau du service. Nous étions assis au comptoir. La soirée était peu occupée. La maître d'hôtel était sur son cellulaire derrière l'ordinateur à l'entrée du restaurant. Les serveurs, peu occupés, se rejoignaient au bar pour parler des soins vétérinaires de leurs chats, leurs gyms favoris & de leurs plans pour le week-end. Étant assis au comptoir, nous avons été témoins de tout cela tout au long de la soirée... Cela est non professionnel, surtout venant d'un restaurant avec une telle réputation. New location is a let down. The food changed from the previous location. The food was overall lacking in flavours & missed the wow factor they used to have before with the modern french fusion. The most memorable dish was the duck with the extra foie gras (the extra is recommended), thought the duck was not tender which made the dish as a whole disappointing, the foie gras poêlé was a huge hit. The service was very slow while the place wasn't very full. They we're probably understaffed, we did notice that they grouped up often at the bar just to chit chat. Beside that, the waiters were very keen to details & helpful when you were able to get a hold of them. My experience at the restaurant took 2 hours & 30 mins, the 5 courses were served over the span of 2 hours. The atmosphere is very quiet & the decor is very modern, it gives out a very classy & delicate feels to it. Pre incident that forced the first location closed, this restaurant used to be in my top 3 restaurants in Montréal, unfortunately with the reopening, it fell down my list & I wouldn't recommend this place anymore.View more

Went to the restaurant for my friend's bday. The service was slow (5 courses). The 1st course which was trout gravlax was delicious. The other 4 courses were very bland & lacked personality. However, the foie gras served with the duck course was 5/5.View more

The new space is very beautiful, tall ceilings. Very open airy space, a little dark but goes with the ambiance. They offer tasting menus (5 or 8 courses) as well as a La carte. As it was a special celebration, we went with the 5 course tasting menu. Just a note, the 8 courses are only available after 8 PM. The food was beautifully plated & extremely tasty! Also we were all shocked with the size of the plates. With some other restaurants, their testing menu plates can be pretty small. But here, they were generous! We definitely did not leave hungry! The lamb filled cappellini was so good, it came with mushrooms which my boyfriend hates. But he actually loved these ones which is saying A LOT! The duck was super flavorful & tender. The sauce was amazing! I am missing the picture of the dessert, which was squash-based. Standard Asian compliment for dessert: not too sweet! Lots of different texture elements making it a real treat. The service was excellent. Very attentive & polite! It was a pleasure. This place hasn't disappointed! Last time I visited was 5 years ago & this meal was even better! Definitely recommend for a special occasion!View more

Have you ever been excited to go to a restaurant because of its reputation & then have been a little disappointed? That's how I felt about Bouillon Bilk. The food is good - notably the beef carpaccio style appetizer & the cappellitti were phenomenal. While I felt like the scallops & tuna were good- they lacked a little "je ne sais quoi". However, the reason for the 4 star really came down to experience. Unfortunately, no quality check was done for any of our meals & the runners were going over the dishes so quick as if really trying to get the job done as fast as possible. I will still recommend bouillon bilk - the quality of the produce is top notch & the wine selection is great!View more

The atmosphere of the place is very calm; it's not the most luxurious spot, but its environment is modern & fresh. The service was incredible, with everyone being attentive from the entrance to the waitstaff. The food was wonderful, & if you're definitely looking for a place with its own unique flair that's delicious & you probably won't find anywhere else, it's worth the experience. I don't usually eat much meat, so I ordered a vegetarian dish with eggplants, & it was amazing, while the cucumber dessert was fabulous. The price is reasonable for the experience. Such a let down from what it used to be. If you are looking for a good bistrot experience, this is an okay choice but forget about fine dining. The service & food are casual & not very special. So sad they chose to downgrade so much what used to be a fantastic spot. It would have probably be more fair to change name when the concept was completely changed in 2024. They are benefitting from the great reviews of the former restaurant which is a bit misleading.View more
