This evening was absolutely impeccable. For my birthday, my husband & I both took the 5 service menu paired with the European wines. Each meal & detail was perfectly balanced & thought out. I was not a fan or all the wines but they were all intelligently matched. One I could not drink & they immediately changed it even if I had said it was not an issue. They also adapted the menu to fit the fact that I cannot eat red meat. The sommelière Isabelle was fantastic & so were every staff member we interacted with. I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for 7 years, always loving their food & trusting the chef's skills & presentation. However, yesterday when I went for lunch with friends, the bill for three people was $235, with a $35 tax. I left a tip of almost 13%, totaling $300 in cash. The server came over & said it wasn't enough, showing me on the card machine that I should leave a minimum of 15% tip, making me add an additional $10 in front of my friends. I'm really curious: 1. Is it mandatory to leave a tip of 15% or more, otherwise you can't leave? 2. Do we have to tip 15% even on the tax? I really dislike the current attitude of some servers, it made my dining experience very unpleasant.Voir plus
Tried out the 5 course tasting menu for 105$. The service & the food were top notch. My favourite dish of the night was the stripped bass dish. It was so fresh with the apple & shiso. The apple consume was so tasty & complimented the fish so well!!! The squash ravioli was also yummy! The brown butter sauce complimented the squash filling. The beef dish & dessert was also very well executed. I can tell that each dish was well thought out & meticulously prepared. Would definitely come back again!!Voir plus
Stylish, intimate, environment in a central location (I was surprised that I had never noticed it before). Attentive, informative service. Tasty, interesting food (highlights include the seared trout, butternut squash ravioli & roasted beef). Very intriguing non-alcoholic beverage pairings! Très bon restaurant. Notre nouvelle expérience a confirmé les précédentes : raffiné, original, saveurs complexes. J'ai tenté l'accord non-alcoolisé. J'en suis très contente. Le service est impeccable, même si on nous a fait comprendre que la sommelière ne se devait pas de répondre aux demandes d'explication sur les méthodes de désalcoolisation des vins. L'ambiance était assez douce, pas de musique tonitruante. Attention, l'appellation "bouillon" ne doit pas s'entendre à la française. En effet les prix sont élevés le soir.Voir plus

J'ai aimé mon expérience au Bouillon Bilk, de l'accueil jusqu'au service tout était attentionné. La nourriture était excellente, j'ai préféré les ravioli parmi tous les plats que j'ai choisi. The best dinner of my stay in Montreal, for sure above expectations in every sense.The elegant & minimal decor is perfectly set, the staff extremely professional & kind & the quality of food excellent. The very positive element is that there's a tasting menu & not necessarily it needs to be ordered by the entire table, the other people can also go à la carte. In our case we both chose the 5 courses menu (105 cad) & having one of them with just vegetarian options wasn't a problem for them. Our waitress Isabelle was really good at her job & accompanied us professionally for the entire dinner. We took a bottle of Tempranillo Inniskillin from British Columbia at 75 cad which we appreciated. The quality of the dish was incredible & this place would deserve the Michelin star for sure.Voir plus

Excellente table au lunch du midi avec vaste sélection & ce fut très apprécié de remplacer le plat principal offert en table d'hôte par un autre de mon choix.
