Bottega Pizzeria is a renowned, family-run restaurant located in the heart of Little Italy and Laval. It boasts a wide-ranging pallet of traditional Italian dishes, extending from authentic Neapolitan pizza to a selection of sfizi, Neapolitan-style tapas. A wood-burning oven imported from Naples enriches their cuisine, thereby rendering it true to its native region. The welcoming atmosphere is populated by a dedicated, engaging staff.
Bottega receives praise for authentic Italian pizza with a wood fired crust and a varied menu that includes arancini, meatballs, pizzas and pastas, with many calling the margherita among the best. Service is frequently described as fast and friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for families and groups, though several reviews mention noise, close seating, or occasional slow service and rushed table turnover. Value and pricing draw mixed reactions, with some diners calling it reasonable for the experience and others finding certain dishes overpriced or portions small. Overall, Bottega is widely regarded as a standout Napolitano pizza spot in Montreal, delivering consistent quality and warm hospitality, while a minority of visits describe disappointments with billing, service pace, or specific dishes.
Food was decent & service was good, but we waited over 30 minutes for our table with a reservation. When reserving, it clearly states you have 2 hours to clear your table, & clearly it's not enforced because there was quite a long like of people waiting at the door for their reservation. Manager offered us a round of drinks which was appreciated but I think they need to do a better job of managing their reservations.
I usually stick to the margherita pizza. The one here is pretty good. I'd give it a 7.5/10. It had been a while since I had been here. I was very disappointed with my meatball order. Although it's good, for $8 per meatball, it's way too much. The size of the meatball is half of what it used to be. I'll never order that again as I don't like to be ripped off. Calamari are ok but not the juiciest you've ever had. Gnocchi are good but the large portion could be bigger. I thought they made a mistake when they brought it to the table. The Mrs had the specialty pizza which had different types of cheese & truffle. We both did not like it. It's also way overpriced. It was something like $34. Service was good.
Nothing to rave home about. Dough was very gummy. The pizza had a lot of crust & barely any toppings, so basically you're eating just dough; same for the calzone, barely stuffed with any ingredients. The radicchio salad had 4 small pieces of radicchio & the rest was spinach, not really a radicchio salad more of a spinach salad. The flourless chocolate cake was not fresh.
Bottega Pizzeria never disappoints. Been going since they opened. Even though I try other Pizzarias, for me, Bottega is the best Napolitano Piizza in Montreal.

How do I not start with the end. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had. A moist dense zucchini & almond pound cake covered in mascarpone & a strawberry compote garnished with a mint leaf. To die for. Authentic Italian oven baked pizzas with few other dishes & specials that change regularly. This place never disappoints. Ever. They should also run a school for training hospitality staff because they make you feel like you are the only guest in the house when it is busy, & it is always busy here. They all know the menu well because they can answer any question about a dish in a way that will help you make a choice you will love. Well done.

The team works great, getting expensive for pizza & appies. The lamb lollipops being bit ridiculous & charging for tomatoe sauce for the calamari.........
Succulent, without exaggeration one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. Excellent recommendation from our waitress for the pizza of the day, with an eggplant base. Bread is so good too. Will definitely come back & recommend to friends. Thanks for the entire excellent experience
