About

Bottega specializes in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza prepared using traditional techniques and high-quality imported ingredients. Each pie features a signature soft, thin crust blistered to perfection in a custom-built wood-burning oven that reaches high temperatures for rapid cooking. The menu emphasizes classic Italian flavor profiles, offering a selection of authentic toppings like buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh basil. Beyond the core pizza offerings, the kitchen prepares a variety of curated antipasti and small plates that highlight Mediterranean ingredients. The interior design prioritizes a rustic aesthetic with communal seating arrangements that foster a focused culinary experience centered on regional traditions. This establishment adheres to strict artisanal methods to ensure consistent texture and taste across all wood-fired items served to patrons within the space.

Review Summary

Bottega is widely regarded for its authentic, wood-fired pizza and high-quality Italian ingredients, often transporting diners to Italy through its traditional culinary approach. Many guests praise the attentive and professional service, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere that makes it suitable for groups and special occasions. While the food, including the arancini and meatballs, receives frequent acclaim, some diners express concerns regarding the noise levels, the size of the portions relative to the pricing, and occasional issues with table time limits or inconsistent service speeds. Despite some mixed feedback regarding value and temperature control in the dining area, the overall consensus points to a memorable experience defined by genuine passion and culinary excellence.

Rushed service to clear us out for the next batch even though we had reserved.

The'complimentary' San Pellegrino offered at the start, is not free. The meatballs were good but the main dish of perogies in the same sauce as the meatballs, was tasteless. They stated it was gratine with parmigiana. It was mozzarella instead. The ravioli with a mushroom type sauce was pretty good but the portions are tiny. I think a safer bet is to get pizza rather than their pasta.
The tiramisu is always good here but the dessert ravioli is not sweet enough.

All in all we were pressured to hurry up & finish. We had our bread basket whisked away as I was reaching to have another slice.

Not cool.

Came here two years & the experience was great, but it wasn't on mothers day.

So delicious! 2 couples & we shared 4 entrees & a pizza. Amazing pear bruschetta, asparagus plate to die for, authentic tasting bolognese sauce with rotini & the 4th was succulent lamb chops & a truffle pizza omg to finish off ! We shared 2 desserts but we were already full. I should go more often, it has been a few years. The chef knows what he is doing! what an artist.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service, the food & the ambiance of this place! We were warmly welcomed by the hostess upon arrival who took our coats & hung them herself. We then got a place at the bar because there was no table available. I usually do not like high chair but these were supper comfortable (we stayed here about 3 hours). Then despite the restaurant being so busy, we were greeted right away by our waitress Genevieve who was super welcoming. They gave us a complimentary bread for starter & it was delicious with olive oil that you can add to taste. We order 2 entrees & a pizza, the entrees got delivered together & almost as soon as we were done we got our pizza. Perhaps the BEST PIZZA IN TOWN! everything about it tasted delicious even the crust!. We finished off with a coffee & dessert. The whole time we were there the service was impeccable! I remember dropping my napkin & I didn't even notice until someone from the staff handed me a new one after picking mine from the floor! I absolutely wowed by this place! It felt like being in a high end restaurant. 100% recommend

A wonderful meal in a timely manner--Italian food done right.

Entrees consisted of a plate of calamari & prosciutto with burrata. The calamari was well portioned, fresh & well seasoned; the tomato sauce that came with it was light & flavourful--absolutely excellent. The prosciutto & burrata was also delightful; it had chew with no sinew.

Our main course consisted of two pizzas: one with burrata, tomato sauce & basal, the other with rapini, sausage, & mozzarella. Both were cooked to perfection; the usual error of overloading the bottom of the pizza with flour to avoid sticking in the oven was not present--the chefs clearly know what they are doing! Crust was light, crispy on the outside, & had a good, flakey chew. Flavours were very much on point, & well salted. The rapini & sausage pizza was on the dry side as there was no sauce, but olive oil was provided & ameliorated the dish.

The desserts consisted of a meringue & an ice cream; I found the ice-cream to be slightly underwhelming--it was somewhat solid when I was expecting a soft & light texture, though the flavours were certainly there. The meringue, on the other hand, was out of this world. Light, sweet, & well portioned.

One other note: I ordered an espresso (as I often do) & was blown away by the quality. At every other restaurant I have ever dined, the espresso is always burnt & watered down. Though it was somewhat thin, & the "schiuma" not quite formed, the coffee itself was sweet, & slightly bitter, as it should be. While not the best espresso in the city (you will need to suffer an Italian bar for one of those), this was far an away the best espresso I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered a second to be sure I was not mistaken, & was not disappointed!

Overall, with tax & tip, our bill came to just over 200$--well worth the money.
