At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
BOSSA is widely praised for huge, generously packed Italian style sandwiches made to order with high quality ingredients, with many calling it the best in Montreal and nearby areas. Standouts include porchetta, diavolo, chicken parm and a rich array of fillings, and desserts such as tiramisu, cannoli and olive oil cake are highlighted as excellent. Portions are often described as so generous they can feed two, and the overall vibe is a lively, authentic deli with Italian groceries, great coffee and a friendly team. However long waits during peak hours and limited seating are common, and some reviews note occasional bread inconsistencies or a recent bread change before returning to form. A few isolated ordering hiccups are addressed by responsive staff and even owner intervention, leaving many satisfied and willing to return. The experience is considered worth the detour and the drive, with takeout and dine-in both recommended for a reliable, delicious sandwich fix.
Amazing food! Unfortunately Super slow service, they should mention orders take 1 hour. & we will wait but don't say 20 mins & make customers wait for an hour.

Took the Diavolo, which is an italian style sandwhich. Great sandwhich. Absolutely loved it. It was everything I was hoping for, & then some. I mean this in the best possible way, but it was like a BMT from subway, but 100 times better. Every ingredients was high quality. At it in two meals too. The only thing I would say is if you plan on going, plan on waiting a little bit. Every sandwhich is made to order & the place is almost always crowded, so expect a 15-20 min wait. Still, waiting 20 min for one of the best sandwhich of your life is worth it in my opinion.
My go-to place for sandwiches, best in MTL area by far. Aracini & cannoli are great too!
Edit 2024-02-27:
Still a great sandwich place but really not a fan of the new bread. It seems harder, drier & more dense.. a bit like a whole grain brown bread would be with less chew.

Fully redeemed! Bread was back on point! Cheesesteak is a new favorite of mine. Bossa is back on top the sandwich game.
Edit 2024-06-08:
Alas, still issues with the bread & quality unfortunately. Recently got a cheesesteak & the bread was something I haven't had before... more dense, drier & seems more stale. It was like a bad grocery store ciabatta. It seems that sometimes I get good bread & sometimes bad.. luck of the draw I guess. The sandwich also wasn't packed as usual; both ends of every sandwich we ordered were just empty bread. A bit disappointing.

Lived up to the hype! Honestly definitely in my top 2 sandwich spots in MTL. This is the only & correct place to go if you are walking down wellington, do not let it go by!
I had the Cutlet 2.0 the first time I came & it was great. 2nd time, I called 15 minutes in advance so I would't have to wait. I get there & the cashier tells me I have to go to the back. I go to the back where I was IGNORED for 5 full minutes (may not seem like a long time but when you're hungry & impatient, 5 minutes is a LONG TIME) while the woman didn't even acknowledge me. She could have said just it will just be 1 minute or she'll be with me shortly. In the end, I had to shout down another employee to get my sandwich that had been ready the whole time. I paid & left in 30 seconds. The first woman could have done that while talking on the phone. It's called multitasking. In the end, the Italiano was just OK. I make it better at home. See for yourself.
