The service was slow & they got one of the drinks wrong. Some of the cocktails aren't worth the hefty 18$ considering that another bar with similar prices would have much better service & atmosphere (& frankly, better taste)

Très déçue des récents changements à mon bar #1 de Montréal
Pour la reprise des cocktails a 10$ le mercredi soir du mois d'août, depuis leur suppression les mardis, nous avons trouvé la carte significativement réduite en nombre de cocktails proposés. Ce soir là, au moins 3 d'entre eux n'étaient plus disponibles a cause d'ingrédients manquants (sirops notamment, faits maison). & ceux qui restaient ne goutaient pas grand chose, & très différent de qq mois avant : les recettes semblaient diluées & manquées.
Je suis donc super triste & déçue de voir l'évolution de l'établissement vers des standards en deçà de ce qu'ils sont capables d'offrir en tant qu'institution des cocktails à Montréal

Great cocktail bar. Not pretentious at all, just excellent cocktails & an absurd selection of whisky. My only complaint is the DJ does not fit the vibe at all.

Nous avons pris la dégustation privée suivi d'un repas.

Dès qu'on mets les pieds à l'intérieur de la place on capte une énergie très vintage presque illégale, c'est une ambiance très réussie, surprenant & agréable, nous avons été très bien accueilli.
La présentation des Wiskey était interactive & très intéressante. La dégustation était bonne aussi. Par contre le prix /pers. est à mon avis trop élevé, heureusement on a eu une belle expérience pour compenser.
Les cocktails ont une très belle présentation & le goût très original. Un énorme bar à boissons assure une variété de cocktails à l'infini, toutefois le menu cocktails est assez limité pour quelqu'un qui veut explorer des recettes différentes des cocktails typiques.
Le repas était très bon, beaucoup de belles options.
Le seul bémol est le pain burger détrempé en dessous.
Le trio jazz a très bien performé, rien de très festif mais proposition agréable dans le cadre d'un restaurant.
J'ai été charmée par l'expérience du Bootlegger, j'y retournerai assurément & je vais passer le mot à mes proches car c'est définitivement un endroit à découvrir !!!

Didn't eat. In town alone for a few nights, sat at the bar & had a few drinks at the bar. Asked the bartender for recommendations & couldn't have been nicer or had better ideas. Drinks were great, & it was really fun to watch them get made. Very fun showmanship.

An absolute gem in the heart of Montreal. We were greeted by a very warm & welcoming staff & Tyler was our bartender. Tyler could not have been more kind & helpful. The drinks he made were amazing & each was better than the previous. He was extremely easy to talk with & even gave us many recommendations for other bars & restaurants in Montreal. We had an amazing time & the live jazz was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this amazing place.

Sunday Jazz night, bartenders amazingly talented & helpful, willing to try twists on drinks, recommend based on your preferences. 100% recommend & will return next time in Montreal. Thank you!
