Review Summary

Boom J's Cuisine offers a variety of experiences ranging from highly praised, authentic Jamaican dishes like jerk chicken, curry goat, and patties to occasional inconsistencies in food quality and service. Many patrons celebrate the generous portions, flavorful seasonings, and comforting nature of the meals, often highlighting the roti and jerk chicken as standout menu items. While some visitors enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and excellent local flavors, others have noted challenges with service, fluctuating food consistency, and varying spice levels. Despite these mixed reports, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking hearty, reasonably priced Caribbean cuisine in a casual, low-key setting.

Jermaine is amazing. I requested a special order for Thanksgiving & he was so accommodating.

Rice: I feel like I'm eating clove by the spoon. That's ALL it taste. Chicken: well cooked, but dry. Barely any taste There's 2 things that wants to be called plantin in there, but it simply should not exist. No sauce, no nothing. Everything is just very dry. The chicken pate was VERY good tho, but still very little chicken & way too much pastry.

I'm hooked on their jerk chicken. I didn't believe chicken can taste this good. The plantain was sweet, but the riz had no taste & was dry. The chicken patties aren't good FYI.

The place is small, it's not a high end place.

Food was on point, service was a little average as I had repeat my order a few times (1 jerk chicken & 3 patties) & the person at the counter almost forgot 3/4 of my order until I reminded him.
