Have eaten there several times but will never go back. The cashier gentleman is shady to say the least. I do not counter tip. This guy didn't like it, wouldn't look me in the eye, I watched them prepare my meal & was horrified to see this guy eating out of the food containment apparatus meant for customer food. I was so uneasy when he took my food out of sight, fearing that he may have'new Delhi'd'my food that I actually could not finish my meal. The food has gone downhill. Chicken is more bones than meat. I will not be going back for the foreseeable future.

I can't believe how these people don't care about their customers I ordered a plate & the rice was so watery it wasn't edible I called & the person on the phone didn't even care! Never Again Shame on these people they take your money then laugh at you when the food is garbage
Le poulet jerk était bien assaisonné, mais pas du tout épicé. Les bananes plantaines étaient molles. Le riz était goûteux, mais beaucoup trop cuit. Ce qui rayonne le plus dans ce restaurant, ce sont les pâtés jamaicains.
I ordered from this place for my 40th birthday, expecting an amazing meal, especially since we drove over an hour to get there. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The rice tasted like it had been microwaved, the plantains were bland, & while the jerk chicken was decent, it had a lot of bones. The vegetables were fine, but overall the quality did not match our expectations, especially for such a large order.
I used to come here in the past & always enjoyed the food, which makes this even more disappointing. Sadly, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend it anymore, as it didn't feel worth the price.
The food is great but the service needs improvement. Went today to pickup my Uber Eats order & it was closed. Emergencies happen but at least update the hours & turn off the options to order through Uber/Doordash etc.
Roti tasted like chicken broth only... I wish there had been more curry flavour, spices or heat, but it was pretty bland. The meat was good though & cheap.
Very shit service it's sad how they make mistakes with your order & when you call back they laugh at you & say it's refined the payment then your asking your self how ? They laugh at you then they speak there own language while you on the phone so you can't understand what there saying then you message the owner on Facebook no answer back sad 66$ into the trash how is this place still open while scamming people like this & the goat was so salty omg was not able to eat it & the roti chicken looked like a whole chicken cooked they just peeled apart like come on ! What pissed me off is that the can't deal with there mistakes !!
Just discovered this place , absolutely love it!!!! Highly recommend. Has to be one of the best spots in the city if you want an excellent & comforting meal. 5 stars & beyond.
Little resto, mostly takeout. Although we did dine in a little bar they have. Food is so tasty & great portions. Low-key restaurant, with great food. We loved it.
Reading other reviews, I must have gone on an off day. We got oxtail, chicken roti & patties. Oxtail had two small hunks of meat & the rest was just fat. The gravy felt like it had just been sitting for a week. Pure salt. Rice felt microwaved. We plopped down over 50$ & ate like 6 bites. I'd like to give it a higher rating but we couldn't eat it. Even the patties seemed like I could buy them frozen & cook them better. Maybe it's seen better days?
Food was very good but the service was very very disappointing. The cashier was barely communicating with us, messed up the order & then when the food was ready instead of communicating that she just knocked on the glass for us to come get it inside. Very disappointing since we like Boom Js a lot… would not recommend going to order or eat there.
