If you want high quality & authentic French cuisine, Bonaparte is the place for you! Everything about Bonaparte is 5 star. The staff, the atmosphere & the food exceeded my expectations. We had the foie gras with creme brulee as an appetizer. I have never had foie gras with creme brulee & I was in for a very pleasant & delicious surprise! Our main entrees were the beef tartare & the truffle oil scallops. The cost is a bit pricey but definitely worth every single dollar. I would go back here & highly recommend Bonaparte to anyone who want delicious French food!Voir plus

Bonaparte's location in the old port centre is part & parcel to the old-world charm. Inside, the restaurant is well-appointed & elegant. Music softly complimented the ambiance. Our food was most delicious: Lobster bisque & onion for starters; entrees included the Boeuf à la bourguignonne (Beef bourguignonne) & Suprême de volaille au brie du Québec fondant, crème de sauge (chicken with brie & sage) with Creme Brule & Napoleon for our desserts. Gorgeous atmosphere & decoración. Good service. I had an excelente house prosecco to drink, & only one dish: magret de canard roti with vegetable crudités. The meat was not bad, not very tasty. The price outrageously expensive, 120 CAD after taxes & tip, about 84 EUR, which buys you an outstanding duck dinner in Toulouse.Voir plus
My wife & I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting this restaurant recently. We were delighted the moment we walked in, to the moment she had her salad & Beef bourguignonne, & I had my Rabbit confit & roasted Duck breast. The desserts as well are also splendid. It goes without saying that when we came to beautiful Montreal to treat our palettes & rest, the experience we enjoyed, as well as the attentive service & atmosphere, was most definitely our highlight. Our experience at Bonapart Restaurant on Valentine's Day was truly unforgettable. The chef curated a delightful menu that left our taste buds enchanted. The impeccable selection of wines complemented each dish perfectly. The staff, with their attentive & timely service, added an extra layer of charm to the evening. A special nod to the chef for crafting such culinary delights & to the waitstaff for their professionalism. An elegant, traditionally-french, high-class atmosphere, with top-notch food to match. The service was excellent, & they even went the extra mile to accomodate a special request to help mark a personal occassion (my warmest thanks to the staff for that). Repas du Réveillon de Noël, accord mets-vins. C'etait vraiment excellent. Nous étions 3 & avons tous pris des plats différents proposés dans le menu spécial Noël. Tous étaient très bien présentés, élégants & goûteux. La serveuse était très très professionnelle quant aux explications des vins, très souriante & sympathique. On a adoré.
