Mes amies & moi sommes allées souper au restaurant Bonaparte pour mon anniversaire! Dès que nous sommes rentrées, l'ambiance & le décor chic de l'hôtel nous ont tout de suite fait bonne impression! Mathieu, notre serveur a fait preuve d'un service irréprochable & d'une gentillesse incroyable! Avant de commencer, des serviettes chaudes imbibées d'huile essentielles nous ont été fournies pour se désinfecter les mains. Ensuite, Mathieu nous a fait part de ses suggestions personnelles tout en nous expliquant les principales composantes de ses plats préférés! Comme c'était mon anniversaire, j'ai eu le droit à une bougie « étincelle » sur mon dessert :) (belle attention) Nous avons commandé les raviolis de champignons, le tartare de boeuf & l'émulsion de pétoncles & de crevettes comme entrées & tout était délicieux! Je recommande de choisir les raviolis si vous voulez une entrée à partager. J'enlève une étoile, car les plats principaux que nous avons choisi: jarret d'agneau & canard étaient un peu ordinaires. Comme desserts, nous avons commandé tarte aux pommes, gâteau au fromage & mon amie voulait une salade de fruits & bien qu'elle n'était pas sur le menu, Mathieu a su répondre à sa demande! Le coup de coeur a définitivement été la tarte aux pommes :) Bref! Je reviendrai définitivement pour essayer d'autres plats sur la carte & je retiens une expérience mémorable & luxueuse au restaurant Bonaparte, surtout grâce au service de Mathieu & à la qualité des plats! Service is nice, but a little slow. Not a problem if you wanna drink & just chill. Food is very good. Steak tartare is very nicely done, as is the duck breast. Plating is pretty, more like an artwork. Good atmosphere too. A good place for some fine French cuisine.Voir plus

The food was amazing, but the staff were extremely two-faced. They would be super polite, speaking English to me when checking up on me, but then the instant they finished doing so, the staff would all huddle & make fun of me in french, thinking I couldn't hear/understand them, which actually isnt true, as I understand French, I just cant speak it to the same level as they could: they made fun of the way I talked, the way I ate, the way I held my fork, the way I was dressed, my personality, & more, which felt very hurtful & attackative, to the point, where I felt like I was in an extremely uncomfortable & unsafe environment & had to ask for the bill early so that I could leave as soon as I finished my meal. & there was absolutely no reason for this, I was a very high paying customer, ordering a full course meal valuing $180 including my drink, & I was very polite to them at first, so they had no business being that rude. If you are an English native speaker, even if you speak a form of French, if it is not superfluent, I reccomend going elsewhere, as the staff here are incredibly hurtful despite their pretentious cheery demeanor, & I can guarantee that I will not be returning in the foreseeable future.Voir plus
To start, I'm a bit of a food snob living in Manhattan. Nevertheless, a few basics. I was hankering for beef tartare & narrowed my choices to Bonaparte or Butterfly. I sat at the bar for dinner at Bonaparte. This is a pretty high end, swanky restaurant with white table cloths so I'm expecting first class service. First issue, I ordered dinner at the bar & the bartender never asked or brought me water. This should be automatic once anyone sits. I had to ask for water ten minutes in. No biggie?! Ordered beef tartare with fries. The quality of beef was fresh & top grade but under seasoned & the fries were soggy. Disappointing. I guess I'll try the beef tartare at Butterfly next time. We always have a good time dining at Bonaparte! Food & service were top notch! The servers are extremely friendly & attentive! We were a group of 7 this time, we ordered different dishes & everything was delicious!! The seared foie gras with crème brûlée were so flavourful, it melted in my mouth! The mushroom ravioli with truffle were fresh & creamy! The pan seared scallops were cooked perfectly, the tastes blended so well with the oyster mushrooms! The duck, the steak & the rack of lamb were also cooked to perfection! I loved my dessert, soufflé with grand marnier, every bite is heaven!! We will definitely come back again & again!Voir plus

We had an amazing dining experience staring from excellent food & delightful interior, to delicious & well prepared food. We had mushroom ravioli & foier grass for starters. Followed with fillet mignon & duck breast, both were really good, but the duck breast definitely stood out. The only thing - we were slightly disappointed in desserts, the profiterole was good, but simple - some chocolate & vanilla ice cream - we were expecting something more.
