Some date back decades, some are brand new on the cuisine scene. Bocca Di Lupo is one of those new establishments but if you told me it had been here forever I'd believe you. The space is elegant but not pretentious. Cozy but not crowded. Bustling with energy but not so loud you have to shout to your dinner guests. The food is incredible. We ate Family Style - which gave us the chance to try more dishes & experience so many more awesome flavours. The salads were bright & fresh, the calamari not over battered or oily. The pasta was on point. But the star of the show was the branzino! Perfect texture, unbelievable flavour! A must try! 10/10 recommend! But above all else - the experience was weaved together by the amazing service. We walked in & were treated like regulars on our first night. The whole staff was incredibly welcoming & friendly which made us feel at home. Our server Naïza was a real star - bright & knowledgeable & sharp & funny - she treated us like family. She really made the experience extra special for us. We will absolutely be back & will steer our friends this way when they visit this beautiful part of Montreal!
A New Favorite: Bocca di Lupo Delivers an Unforgettable Night
We walked in last night without a reservation, hoping to grab seats at the bar. Maurice, the manager, made it happen & made us feel welcome from the start.
Charles behind the bar was a true talent. His cocktails were beautiful & delicious, & his dinner recommendations were spot-on. The gnocchi was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever had.
The entire staff made us feel like regulars on our first visit, & Maurice's attention to detail turned dinner into a truly memorable experience. Bocca di Lupo will definitely be our go-to stop when we're in Montreal.
Highly recommend? Grab a seat at the bar & let Charles take care of you.
Bocca Di Lupo is a fantastic new addition to Montréal's dining scene. The staff are genuinely warm & friendly, & the food is outstanding.
The gnocchi is especially worth trying - pillowy light, beautifully prepared, & incredibly rich in flavour.
We dropped in during a very busy dinner service without a reservation, & Maurice could not have been more welcoming. Despite how busy they were, he found a way to slip us into a spot & made us feel completely at home.
That said, I would **strongly recommend making a reservation**. This is one restaurant you really don't want to miss.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Bocca Di Lupo is a true little gem, & we will absolutely be back!
Our first restaurant in our short trip in Montreal. We were wowed! The ambiance is so lovely & the attentiveness & curiosity about who we are from the wait staff throughout our entire meal, from constantly filling up our glasses to asking us how things are going. Not to mention that the food ordered was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Where do I start. Let's say, I think this place hates big groups. First of all, the reservation process was ok. I called & made the reservation for 10 people. They told me that they'll send me the group menu the next day. I've waited & waited. After 2 days I called them, they didn't answer. After 2 more days I called again, they didn't answer. I sent them an email, they didn't answer. Finally I called with my friend's phone & they immediately pickup. Were they ignoring me on purpose? That's what it felt like. Anyways, STILL DIDNT SEND THE MENU. The girl finally called me a day before to confirm the reservation & I asked her about the menu & SHE FINALLY SENT IT!
As for the experience itself,
1. My purse was on my chair & they knocked it on the floor at least 3 times. Didn't pick it up. I had too.
2. We had about 2 bites each of the food cuz there wasn't enough!! They brought like two plates for each thing.
3. The AC water was dripping on my friend throughout the night. All they said is'sorry it's broken'.
4. Some of the food was too salty, not cooked enough or burned.
5. On the menu it says'tiramisu', we got a cheesecake…. & they didn't tell us why.
6. They were taking our plates very quickly, like as we were eating.
7. One positive thing!! They did accept us even thought most of us was late! I appreciate that!
Honestly, if you wanna come here with a big group, I DONT RECOMMEND.
I usually don't give bad reviews so please be patient with me!
Writing as I'm still sitting at the table. We were a group of 10 & they forced upon us a group menu. Half of the group is Muslim therefore we don't eat pork. That isn't a problem usually because we just pick whichever meal doesn't contain pork in it. But what we didn't know is that all the meals are shared & the options for non-porc eaters were very underwhelming. No one told us that before starting to give us the meals! Paying the same amount as the others & not being able to have the same experience is kinda sad in my opinion.
Furthermore, the pasta were either too cooked (the gnocchi) or almost raw (caccio & peppe). All the meals were very salty. Since the group menu have shared meals, we were served 2 plates of each options, which meant 6-8 plates for 9-10 people. Needless to say that we are leaving the restaurant very hungry 😅
Finally, the reservation process was also a hassle. The policy cannot let us cancel less than 48h before the day of the dinner, but they wouldn't send us the group menus even if we called many times! We received it 24h before the dinner day & just had to live with it.
All & all the ambiance is nice, but I wished i could've just chose my meal. It's a very high price for such a bad experience meal wise. I wouldn't recommend bringing a group here. Please only come as a date or 4 people & less!!!
Stumbled into this place on accident & wow it was such a treat. My partner & I had a few cocktails, the beef carpaccio, focaccia, & two incredible pasta dishes. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Service & vibes were outstanding.
Amazing food!! Our server recommend the prosciutto ravioli best thing on the menu! Great staff. 100% recommended!
Des pâtes en suggestion qui furent un réel délice. Entre les pâtes faites maison, al dente & la sauce au homard fabuleuse, je me suis régalé. Je recommande vivement pour les amateurs de fruits de mer. Très bon service & jolie atmosphère.
