View more
The arepas are delicious! The Live bands in the evenings create a great atmosphere!View more
Bocadillo Bistro serves delicious Venezuelan food with great service. The atmosphere is cozy & vibrant, with lovely decor & a live band that adds to the experience. The cachapa & arepa were fantastic-flavorful & authentic, definitely worth trying. They also have great drinks to complement the meal. Highly recommend this spot for great food, drinks, & a lively vibe!View more
I ordered a veggie arepa from here , I didn't expect it to be so big but it was worth it & filling :)View more
What an amazing experience we had eating at Bocadillo! Great arepas & live music in the weekends! Try the pabellón arepa or the cevicheView more
I've been to bocadillos many times, usually the service is great & food amazing. It's been about a year since I've been & today I was surprised. Surprised in a bad way!! I understand food prices have increased, however the portions don't match price. They went from regular size arepas to small arepas. They are no longer buttery or made with care. They fall apart easily. The empanadas are bland & small. Thank good they have not changed the tequenos. If you going to make the food smaller, reduce your prices, or have 2 options small & big. Anyways hopefully things get better. Went from 5 stars to 2 stars.View more
Arepas are very good yes but I ended up paying 30 dlls for 1 Arepa with French Fries. This is very pricy for what the consumer is getting. Unfortunately this restaurant is crossed out from my list.View more
I had an amazing experience at Bocadillo Restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, with a varied Venezuelan menu, offering arepas, cachapas, empanadas & more elaborated dishes as pabellón or asado negro. The drinks are top-notch, whether you're in the mood for a refreshing non alcoholic option like papelon or parchita juice, a well-crafted cocktail or just enjoy a nostalgic Polar Beer. What really sets this place apart is the special events they host, I enjoyed the local latin rock band Sociedad Sur. I Highly recommend the band for a great night out too.View more
View more
Excellent arepas, big portion, very nice service. Good ambiance with latin music. Prices for arepas are decent. The only down side was that the service was slow specially that the restaurant was almost empty. If you want good food you should give it a try!View more
Looking for a place to eat after attending a book launch, my partner & I decided to try this place since we were getting cold walking outside & I had never had Venezuelan food. We ordered 2 arepas & 2 drinks. My drink was a passionfruit juice which tasted like Oasis juice (7$). The staff was friendly & I had the opportunity to practice my Spanish. There was live music provided by a singer & a guitarist. We both quite enjoyed the experience. When the bill came, I was distracted possibly because I was trying to converse in Spanish so I solely focused on the subtotal to calculate the total. I paid 108$ (which includes tax & tip). We left & while I was walking towards the metro station, it occurred to me that the total seemed off since the price for an arepas was around 25$ & a drink around 7$. I returned to the restaurant & saw the waitress & asked if I could see the bill (I had not asked for it after I paid). She asked if there was something wrong or what did I want to see. I responded that I think a mistake was made since I paid 108$ our order could not add up to that total. She said that it is because there is a cover charge of 10$ person (for the live music) & on nights when there is dancing (salsa I believe) the charge is 25$. The cover charge was never mentioned when we initially entered the restaurant or at any other moment during our meal. I find this rather dishonest & it soured my whole experience of the night which is why I am leaving an unfavorable review.View more
The decor is very nice, the server was friendly & the show was very good. Sadly the food wasn't great, the arepa seemed grilled from frozen, too doughy inside & slightly burnt on the outside, & kept breaking off in pieces. The arepa looked big & impressive but for $25 I expected something tastier & more cohesive. The ceviche was just fine, & the empanadas de cazón were weirdly sweet? We ordered caipirinhas & while tasty, they were overflowing with ice & had very little actual drink in them. Again, disappointing for a $15 cocktail. I was so excited to try this place, but don't see myself coming back anytime soon.View more
So good!! Try the deluxe arepas & the yuca. Delicious. For drinks, go for the rum & passion fruit. Fantastic! Will be back.View more
Recomiendo ambos restaurantes, Bocadillo Bistro y Bocadillo!View more
