What an amazing experience we had eating at Bocadillo! Great arepas & live music in the weekends! Try the pabellón arepa or the cevicheView more
Food was bland & lacked the amazing flavours of Venezuelan cuisine, extremely expensive for what you get. Service was slow & not attentive at all. I went with a group friends to enjoy the live music show they offer on Fridays & was disappointed to see that there was a private party with dancers & singers that I honestly did not want to see. Charging cover for just an hour of live music + the expensive menu prevents me from returning to this place.View more
Amazing food & fresh ingredients. Newly renovated to expand the seating area & dancing area for the live music. Not the first time I've been here & won't be the last.View more
I went with my wife a few weeks ago on a Friday. They have live music & the food was really good. A bit too crowded & cramped... but in general we had a great time.View more
Looking for a place to eat after attending a book launch, my partner & I decided to try this place since we were getting cold walking outside & I had never had Venezuelan food. We ordered 2 arepas & 2 drinks. My drink was a passionfruit juice which tasted like Oasis juice (7$). The staff was friendly & I had the opportunity to practice my Spanish. There was live music provided by a singer & a guitarist. We both quite enjoyed the experience. When the bill came, I was distracted possibly because I was trying to converse in Spanish so I solely focused on the subtotal to calculate the total. I paid 108$ (which includes tax & tip). We left & while I was walking towards the metro station, it occurred to me that the total seemed off since the price for an arepas was around 25$ & a drink around 7$. I returned to the restaurant & saw the waitress & asked if I could see the bill (I had not asked for it after I paid). She asked if there was something wrong or what did I want to see. I responded that I think a mistake was made since I paid 108$ our order could not add up to that total. She said that it is because there is a cover charge of 10$ person (for the live music) & on nights when there is dancing (salsa I believe) the charge is 25$. The cover charge was never mentioned when we initially entered the restaurant or at any other moment during our meal. I find this rather dishonest & it soured my whole experience of the night which is why I am leaving an unfavorable review.View more
