Great tapas bistro, mixing Asian & Latin food. The tasting menu for 2 is very much worth it, delicate meals at a decent price.

Seriously this is some of the best food I ate in Montreal. 10/10

Roberto, our server, was awesome. His passion for the ingredients rubbed off on us. Nothing but great things to say.

Definitely come here if you want experience new flavours.

Delicious food & great service! At first I was a bit weary because the five star ratings, but it's legit. Everything about El Chino is amazing (la comida, las bebidas, y el servicio (gracias Angela!)). This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend the tasting platter (the octopus is some of the best I've had in montreal).

Excellente expérience chez El Chino !
Nous étions environ 20 personnes & avons été très bien accueillis. Le menu de groupe était varié & délicieux, tout le monde a très bien mangé. Bonne musique, beaucoup de rires & une ambiance vraiment agréable. Les prix sont très raisonnables pour la qualité & l'expérience. Honnêtement, j'y retournerai sans hésiter & je recommande fortement !

Cuisine intéressante & bien exécutée fusion Péruvienne & asiatique !

Les sauces sont clairement le point fort du restaurant : savoureuses, bien travaillées & elles rehaussent vraiment les plats. Le pulpo (pieuvre) & le Lomo Saltado valent particulièrement le détour.
Une expérience agréable dans l'ensemble, avec quelques plats plus mémorables que d'autres. Rapport qualité prix A1 !

We love Peruvian food & tried it only in Peru & Central American countries. This was the first time we had it in Canada. & let me tell you, this was AMAZING! From the moment we've been seated the service was great (thank you Robert!). We had a tasting menu with fish. Flavors were so fresh & took us back to the warm south days! Ceviche, yucca, sauces!!!!! -everything was 5 stars. There was enough food for 2.
The place itself is nicely decorated & clean. The atmosphere is very welcoming.
We will definitely be back.

Just when I thought I had reached peak satisfaction with what is now my favorite iteration of tuna tataki, served with an exquisite, luscious sauce made from 21 ingredients, dessert arrived.

The strawberry & chocolate cake was perfectly balanced, never overpowered by sweetness, with the chocolate flavor hitting just right. It was the kind of dessert that makes you pause & think, maybe I should make time, once in a while, to come here just for a slice of cake even if it's not on my usual route. 😋

El Chino did not disappoint. A true treat for both the palate & the soul.

Wow is the only word that comes to mind when I think of the meal that I had at this restaurant. It's been a long time I haven't had the chance to taste something so unique & delicious. My friend & I came & tried the tasting menu for 2, which is well priced for the amount of food you're getting, & we absolutely adored every single dish. The flavors were absolutely amazing.
On top of the food being excellent, we had gone on a day where there was less people, so our waiter took his time explaining each dish to us. The waiter was kind, helpful when we had questions & offered suggestions. Amazing service as well.
The ambiance is very nice & the music is good. To top it all off, the cleanliness of their restaurant & bathrooms are a 10/10.

There is not a single negative thing I can say about this restaurant. Truly a great experience & I am already looking forward to going again & trying the second options on the tasting menu.

Excellente expérience au Bistro El Chino ! J'ai opté pour le menu dégustation à 45 $ & c'est franchement une valeur incroyable. J'ai pu essayer plusieurs plats, tous impeccablement préparés, frais & remplis de saveurs. Aucun plat ne m'a déçue, & la variété permet vraiment de découvrir le talent de la cuisine. Pour 45 $, la qualité & la quantité offertes valent largement le détour. Je vais y retourner, c'est sûr ! Je recommande à 100 %.
