To go with our dishes we have excellent list of imported wines and beers.
Bistro CO ÚT is widely celebrated as a charming neighborhood gem in Montreal, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere with beautiful decor and greenery. Many guests praise the authentic and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine, highlighting fresh ingredients, generous portion sizes, and perfectly balanced dishes such as the imperial rolls, crispy noodles, and various noodle bowls. While experiences with service can occasionally vary due to the restaurant's popularity and busy periods, many visitors appreciate the friendly, attentive staff and the overall calming, cozy dining experience that makes it a consistent favorite for both casual meals and special outings.
The service, setting & everything else but the pho was great, if you are only coming for a romantic date this place is fine, but as someone that enjoys good pho, that was really subpar. Out of all the pho places I went to in Montreal, 30+ , this was among worst ones. The broth was barely ok, not a good one but fine, no aroma from spices just bone broth flavour. The beef though, it looks like they buy the frozen fondue slices, that's how bad the beef quality was. Even the poorest restaurant in Vietnam served better piece of meat on their pho. Not even a pho dac biet with the usual variety available, just a simple pho Bo & it was still disappointing. I know their restaurant is not a'pho' place specifically but at this point they should either remove it from the menu o learn to make a good one.
Mon meilleur repas depuis bien longtemps, cette cuisine est savoureuse, là présentation est digne des meilleurs restaurants. Bravo pour cette belle expérience
EDIT 08:31:25
AGAIN! Another birthday, another incredible meal at Bistro Có Út. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Found a great paid lot with lots of spaces just two blocks south. So easy. I can't be much more clear. If you miss this place you are cheating yourself!
This place is fabulous. Been back several times. We sort of stick to the appetizers, soups, etc. they have, simply, the best shrimp spring rolls I've ever had. Very big, & laden with shrimp & vegetables & served with a delicious sauce. The Chickens Satay was so good we ordered one to go after our meal. The imperial rolls, Tom Yum Soup, & sizzling beef were incredible. Quaint little place tastefully decorated & attended by very energetic servers. It's a must when I go to Montreal, several times per year.
We were totally blown away by the special menu - fresh shrimps with wasabi sauce! We loved the sauce so much that we dipped shrimp rolls with it instead of sweet sauce. Pho broth was good & beef was tender. We were happy with the service & ambience too.
Food was not the most tasty Vietnamese food I had, really blend. We had the Mojito & it was really deceiving. Service was so slow, but they were missing someone as per staff. Really disappointing experience overall. Wouldn't recommand it.
Nice little place! We all enjoy our food, music is not insanely loud like most restos & the bathrooms were very clean.
Prices also very affordable, didn't expect to leave full honestly but barely finished my last bite. (I had the general tao plate they offer.)
Forgot to mention the nice tables for groups larger than two. Made us feel further from the people next to us.
Should give it a shot?
Très belle expérience ce soir, un véritable restaurant vietnamien comme il n'y en a peu. Celà faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas retrouvé les saveurs du Vietnam. Xin c?m ?n vì b?a ?n tuy?t v?i!
