Bistro CÔ ÚT is widely celebrated as a charming neighborhood gem in Montreal that offers an authentic and flavorful Vietnamese dining experience. Many visitors praise the generous portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and high quality of dishes like the imperial rolls, pho, and various grilled specialties, often highlighting the cozy, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and the attentive, professional service provided by the staff. While the restaurant is frequently lauded for its welcoming environment and excellent value, it remains a popular destination for those seeking both traditional favorites and unique culinary interpretations in a comfortable setting.
This place continues to be 5 stars - their Japanese style fried shrimp & pho bo are my absolute favourite. On top of that - it's probably fanciest dining room among any Vietnamese restaurant I go to, but for the same good value. There menu is vast & everything I tried was excellent.
The service, setting & everything else but the pho was great, if you are only coming for a romantic date this place is fine, but as someone that enjoys good pho, that was really subpar. Out of all the pho places I went to in Montreal, 30+ , this was among worst ones. The broth was barely ok, not a good one but fine, no aroma from spices just bone broth flavour. The beef though, it looks like they buy the frozen fondue slices, that's how bad the beef quality was. Even the poorest restaurant in Vietnam served better piece of meat on their pho. Not even a pho dac biet with the usual variety available, just a simple pho Bo & it was still disappointing. I know their restaurant is not a'pho' place specifically but at this point they should either remove it from the menu o learn to make a good one.

We were totally blown away by the special menu - fresh shrimps with wasabi sauce! We loved the sauce so much that we dipped shrimp rolls with it instead of sweet sauce. Pho broth was good & beef was tender. We were happy with the service & ambience too.
Very nice Vietnamese place, I tried the Pho & it was decent nothing special in all honesty. My noodles were fantastic though great flavour & texture. The imperial rolls were delicious & along with the noodles I got a must try. Someone please give me recommendations for new places in Montreal to go visit! Reply to me in the comments…
Also as a local guide I appreciated they had their google review posted & they definitely know that the reviews don't lie🤓
Cute spot with beautiful plants inside. The fried spring rolls were very delicious as a starter. I ordered a classic rare beef pho & was unfortunately a bit disappointed. I found the broth lacking flavour & quite oily. That being said, it could've been an off day & I'd be willing to try again. On the other hand my boyfriend's chicken vermicelli bowl was very tasty so I would recommend that instead.
