We had the pleasure of dining at Birbante, & the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
The service was fantastic - the staff were attentive, professional, courteous, & genuinely friendly throughout the evening.
The food was incredible. Every dish was perfectly prepared, from the appetizers to the dessert. The pasta was outstanding, & the meat dishes were truly worthy of the finest restaurants.
Finally got to try this restaurant & it definitely surpassed our expectations. Fresh, high quality ingredients & bold, memorable flavours in every dish. It's a cozy, warm Italian vibe but at the same time feels elevated & worth your money, very far from a simple plate of pasta you can just make at home. We didn't get to try the cocktails or dessert but we will be back! I've already recommended this place to friends & family.
Let's start by saying I hated it!!! BECAUSE I know I'll be dreaming about every dish for as long as my ADHD allows. We had three courses & dessert, each with an Italian name I won't attempt to butcher, so bear with me. There is Campari everywhere. Not super important but I was like wow.
Ok what was eaten:
Endive Salad: Perfectly balanced flavors with a kick of tangy vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, & so well done. Pasta with Veal Meatballs: This one. The smellllllll of the tomato sauce instantly transported us to our grandmothers' houses on a Sunday afternoon. Full-blown nostalgia moment & obviously absolutely delicious.
Fish with Pesto: PERFECTION. Nothing more to say.
Molten Lava Cake: 10/10. Paired with some raspberry goodness. DID NOT disappointment, pure joy.
In short, every plate was simple yet layered with thoughtful, intentional flavors. Nothing felt overlooked. You can see into the kitchen if you get close enough, I always like that.
I genuinely think this is the perfect spot for a small group of friends who like sharing dishes…you get to try more of their fantastic menu. It's very open. Looks like they could accommodate a giant group comfortably.
Birbante was incredible! We were a group of six girls & shared everything - & honestly, every dish was amazing. We started with the doppia bruschetta (absolutely delicious!), the burrata, & the endive salad - all so fresh & full of flavor. Then we had a risotto & a pesto pasta, both super tasty & perfectly done. Our waiter was amazing - he explained the menu so well, was super generous, & made the whole experience even better. We finished with 4-5 desserts & devoured every bite. The place itself is beautiful - the décor is super cool yet cozy. 100% recommend!
I was hoping to get an authentic Italian experience in my area, but unfortunately, this restaurant was quite disappointing. Having spent time in Italy, I've come to appreciate the balance of quality & portion size - something that was lacking here.
The food was underwhelming & quite expensive for the quantity. We actually left still hungry. I ordered the clam pasta & ended up having to return it (something I rarely ever do) because it was overly salty & the pasta itself was dry.
On the bright side, the service was excellent - they were kind enough to replace my dish with another option from the menu. We finished with a tiramisu, hoping for a better impression, but it too was a bit dry.
Overall, great service but disappointing food for the price.
This is THE spot for classy & cozy dining. The staff was super friendly & gave us great recommendations! Dozens of Campari cocktails to choose from - I was pleasantly surprised by the Negroni Svegliato with coffee. We shared every dish we ordered (& we ordered a LOT) & everything was excellently prepared. The standouts of the night were the bruschetta with n'duja - a spicy sausage I'd never tried before, the lamb pasta, & the STEAK. Plus, the sheer variety of pasta shapes was mesmerizing to behold! Make sure you've got plenty of focaccia to soak up all the tasty leftover goop. & for dessert, you really have to try the pistachio-encrusted ice cream, it's the perfect finale to a memorable meal. Great spot for a date, or ideally a double- or triple-date so you can try more dishes!!!
This place is a gem! The staff & the cooks are amazing. They are pushing out quality service & food. Each dish was amazing! I recommend the lamb pasta & steak was killer. The lava cake pistachio is absolutely insane, & the red snapper appetizer is a must. Like I said there is no wrong answer. We almost ordered one of everything.
