Biiru is a nice Japanese bistro located downtown, on City Councillors Street, hidden in the shadow of St-James church, a few steps from Ste-Catherine Street. The chef is pleased to offer traditional and refined dishes; you will enjoy the tender and juicy pork chops, marinated in a caramelized sauce. They just melt in your mouth! The tempura vegetables, cooked to perfection, are irresistible. In short, the menu leaves you speechless as its specialties are one better than the other. The atmosphere here was just amazing! The food was also very good but a little expensive but that could also be because of the ribs that we ordered which was on the more expensive side. The portions are small which is the concept of the restaurant which are plates to be shared. I enjoyed this place & their mocktails were to die for, might just come back for the mocktails honestly😆View more

This was an amazing experience! Great food, great people, great ambiance. Our server & the host were both absolutely wonderful & very accommodating, fitting us in during a busy night without a reservation. Despite the crowd, they were still very attentive & all the food was wonderful. The matcha passionfruit dessert is a must-try. Also, definitely go here with people who are willing to try new things. The menu is cool. A side note, though, they don't have the gyudon since it's'summer' but it's currently 40° outside.View more

We've been looking for an Izakaya to go for a while Biiru was a great surprise! We made a reservation & we got the table at the terrace. The decoration is super nice, the staff are friendly & we had such a good time there!
The dishes were delicious, specially the Okonomiyaki (10/10) & the Beef Tataki (10/10).

This place is awesome. I can't describe it more than that.
I found this place that's close to the hotel my conference is in this week. It's really non-descript with their sign outside, but what a great place. I've come for lunch every day this week.
The staff is amazing. Mike & Alex are just wonderful people, & the folks making the food are doing incredible work. The pork gyozas are amazing, & the tune poke is some of the best I've had (& I've had it in Hawaii & Tokyo).
