recommend(29) drink(29) japanese(24) cocktail(24) juliana(24) tapas(21) dishes(20) izakaya(19) japonais(17)We had a show at place des Arts & we were looking for somewhere to go eat before. A few weeks we had went to Hanzo & they had told us that they are working together, so we decided to give it a try. They have the same menu only a few different stuff. We got the Hasu chicken & we loved the sauce was very good, it was sweet yet spicy. The candied salmon were good, they were fried, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. I wasn't a big fan of the sliced beef(I didn't like a cubed beef) nor the pork ribs, I would not get them again(it was too heavy). The restaurant was busy, & our waitress Juliana was really nice, we both had ordered some bloody Ceasar are the beginning & felt like it was watered down or a missing ingredient, she was really nice to make us new ones herself & checked on us so many times to make sure everything was good for us. I find that she was really friendly & nice, she was exceptional.View more

Super cute vibe at this restaurant. Amazing service with our waitress Julianna. Ask for her when you go!View more
First time, I eat at this restaurant & I was delighted, the food is delicious. I ordered ramen, takoyaki & karaage. Everything was delicious & the presentation of the dishes was truly amazing, so I will be delighted to dine at biiru again. My congratulations to the kitchen.View more
View more
View more

Drinks are good as well as the food! Love their Kaarage!View more
Cool venue. Food average. Karaage - deep fried, oil could be fresher Okonomayaki - same sauce as the Takoyaki - enjoyed the bonito flakes Takoyaki - tasty & hot Rice w/ Chopped Salmon & Sushi Paper Rolls - more seaweed to wrap the chopped salmon. Yes ... Rice krispiesView more
View more
I wish I could give this place a better rating but unfortunately cannot. We were seated at the bar before our reservation which was nice. There space at the bar between you & the next person is very limited. The food came out quickly which was also nice. The beef tataki wasn't prepared properly & made myself & my girlfriend sick afterwards where we needed to take Imodium. There was a couple tables of about 16-20 altogether who were obnoxious & very loud without any regard for the rest of the people in the restaurant yet were still served alcohol repeatedly. They should have been cut off long ago & every time they would take a sake bomb, they would do a chant & I could tell the people in the restaurant felt awkward. The washroom was disgusting with vomit & urine on the floor. I'm sure if they got all these things under control, the sky is the limit with this place.View more
I recently discovered biiru & I am obsessed! The food is delicious & their drinks are unique. Juliana was our server & Tony the bartender - AMAZING! Definitely coming back & can't wait to try the whole menu.View more
If you're seeing this review, stop scrolling, stop looking, stop debating, just go here. This is by far the most amazing place I've been to in Montreal. Aside from the incredible atmosphere with Japanese decor & cool lighting, great music, friendly staff, & good service, the food is delicious. We couldn't decide what to get, so we were offered a tasting menu, which included what felt like an infinite amount of food, each one better than the previous. Every dish was so different & tasty, never mind being such a generous size & so filling. This was the first time in 4 years my boyfriend & I have never not been able to finish the portion served. This is a must try place in Montreal, especially for the taster menu that changes day by day. Thank you Biiru!View more

View more
The service was so quick. As soon as we were done a drink or a plate, we were asked how it was or if we want more. Our favourite item was the candied salmon. Although the okonomyaki & fried octopus balls were also delicious. We finished it off with the mochi cake which was also very impressive. I would 100% go back! Would recommend if you love Japanese/Asian food.View more
