Je pense que c'est l'un des meilleurs cookies que j'ai jamais mangé (chocolat blanc avec une ganache fondante à l'intérieur)
La brioche était également succulente & vraiment copieuse, une pour deux pourrait suffire.
L'option sirop d'érable pour remplacer le sucre dans le latté est vraiment sympa !
& le personnel est super sympa
Bref j'y retournerai c'est sûr 🥰

Bernice is a really solid bakery with some standout items.
Their brioche is basically a cinnamon-roll cousin - super moist, fluffy, & indulgent. It does lean on the sweeter side, but if you like rich pastries, it hits the spot.
The blueberry coffee cake is an absolute 10/10 - soft, crumbly, perfectly balanced, & honestly one of the best things I've had there. My only complaint is that it's not available nearly as often as I wish it were. The cinnamon coffee cake is also delicious, though it can be a bit dense at times compared to the blueberry.
The cookies are very much Levain-style: thick, crispy on the outside, super moist inside. I tried a variety - double chocolate, chocolate chip, cranberry white chocolate, funfetti - but most were very sweet, to the point where I couldn't finish them. The standout for me was the chocolate chip with pecans; the nuts cut the sweetness perfectly & made it much more balanced.
My only real downside: the price. Around $40 for six cookies feels steep, even for high-quality baking.
That said, Bernice clearly knows what they're doing. If you're into rich, indulgent baked goods & don't mind a sweeter profile, it's worth a visit - especially if you can get your hands on that blueberry coffee cake.
Très bel endroit, propre & bien aménagé. Bonne ambiance en général, le staff est super accueillant & tout le monde est souriant, ça fait toujours plaisir! Pour ce qui est de la bouffe, j'ai pris les brioches pour essayer avec ma famille & elles ont fait l'unanimité. Bravo à vous, c'était génial! La brioche est bonne, elle n'est pas sèche (ce qui est un défaut chez d'autres) & est plutôt grosse, donc rien à dire là-dessus. Malheureusement, je ne peux pas passer à côté d'un point important, le prix... Je savais que j'allais payer plus cher pour la qualité du produit, mais pas à ce point. Ça reste une brioche. Je recommande tout de même, car c'est une bonne expérience, mais préparez vous à payer pour celle-ci.
Celebrated two birthdays in the last month which gave us the opportunity to try the full frosting rainbow & the Biscoff cookie butter cakes. Both phenomenal!! Probably the top 2 cakes I've ever had. & of course couldn't leave without adding a variety of 6 of the most delicious cookies both times. They were a huge hit & will definitely be back (SOON!) to try more goodies. The brioche & carrot cakes are calling my name. Jami & staff all very helpful & friendly each time.
Je suis une immense fan du Bernice depuis des années. Selon moi, ils font définitivement les meilleurs biscuits & brioches de Montréal. L'équipe est toujours sympathique. Ce soir pour la première fois, ma famille & moi avons commandé un gâteau pour célébrer un anniversaire. Par inadvertance, nous avons reçu le gâteau d'un autre client lorsque nous sommes allés le récupérer. & bien, un membre de l'équipe est venu nous porter le bon gâteau à notre souper de famille. Je n'ai jamais vu un aussi bon service à la clientèle. Je suis impressionnée & encore plus fan de l'endroit. Je le recommande à tous & à toutes. Merci encore Bernice!

An involved & creative owner offering unique & delicious brioche roll creations. A must try for anyone who's a fan of cinnamon rolls. The true star for me was the chocolate brioche roll & I'll definitely be coming back to try what's new.
I've had the cookies & the savory brioche here, & both were the perfect balance of tender & crisped, with flavors that really come through. The caramel cookie has pockets of melted caramel in it. 😭 The savory brioche boasted pine nuts & ribbons of pesto & cheese - truly a unique pastry/bread experience.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm & friendly welcome. The staff was incredibly kind & attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their excellent service truly stood out! There was a great variety of pastries, & everything looked delicious. I decided to try a brioche with cheese, ham, & bacon. It was so good that I had to order another one right away! I also bought two cookies & a croissant, & everything was of exceptional quality.
Beyond the amazing food & coffee, what really made a difference was the outstanding service. The staff was genuinely friendly, making the place feel even more cozy & inviting. I'll definitely be coming back!
