La nourriture & l'ambiance étaient parfait, le décor fait moderne & propre.
Par contre le service de la serveuse laisse vraiment a désirer. Il s'agissait d'une femme asiatique, elle est venue nous voir pour prendre la commande sans jamais avoir proposé à boire, nous avons du demandé des verres d'eau. Elle en a apporté 2 (nous étions 3) j'ai demandé pour un café & un autre verre d'eau après avoir réalisé qu'elle n'allait pas le proposer.
Elle a demandé les menus d'une façon un peu impolie après avoir pris nos commandes. Il n'y avait pas beaucoup de monde, mais les assiettes ont pris beaucoup de temps à arriver (un couple arrivé en même temps que nous ont finit de manger quand les plats sont arrivés). Ça se voyait qu'ils étaient prêtes depuis longtemps car les jaunes d'oeuf étaient croûtés. Elle n'est pas non plus venue proposer plus de café.

Bref, c'est dommage car on aurait dit qu'on la dérangeait alors que tous les autres serveurs avaient l'air heureux d'être là & donnaient un bon service.

We had the same experience yesterday September 10, 2026. We were 3. The restaurant was not busy at all. I just copy past my google review here. If I could give less than zero that would be the actual evaluation of that restaurant. When I went there yesterday at 10am with 2 friends, the restaurant was not busy; 2-3 tables taken. It took a good 10-15 minutes to have a coffee after I reminded the waitress for a cup of coffee. Then again after a good wait there was the time to order. I asked if they had grilled cheese since I did not see it on the menu. The waitress said yes but it is only the grilled cheese. Means no fruit, or vegetables which was ok with me since I did not have a big petite yesterday morning. Then the orders of my friends came with another waitress that throw the plates in front of them and when they asked if they could have toast she answered yes but you have to pay for it. The highlight of these orders was my grilled cheese which was a not even melted piece of processed cheddar that looks like a piece of plastic between two smallest toast bread even without properly toasted! I sent back the' Grilled cheese'. Make a long story short the eggs on my friends plates were not as they asked for, the beacons were so old that were not edible, the whole plates looked really not appealing. My friends ended up not eating that old looking food also. I wish I took pictures of our orders! Now it came the time to pay. Instead of apology I was charged for the coffee $2.99+tax and my friends were charged for their toasts! The only positive about that restaurant was a waitress named Lia or Lina who was feeling supper bad for what was happening. My friends and I will not go back there ever again but I can strongly recommend of not even trying this restaurant. My friends told me that they have been in this Ben and Florentine before (2-3 years ago) and they had very different experience. Yesterday was horrible!

The waitress was very friendly & came to refill our coffees frequently. They had a lot of comfortable booths & the overall ambience of the restaurant was very peaceful & nice. We would definitely go again!

Ben & Florentine tout à fait correct. L'extérieur semble vieillot mais l'intérieur est neuf & moderne. Le service est souriant & rapide & les plats copieux & goûteux. Nous le conseillons sans hésiter.

Environnement adapté aux familles avec enfants, les plats sont corrects. malheureusement notre serveuse s'est trompée dans tous nos plats ce qui a un gâché notre expérience. Elle nous a vite resservie mais peut être trop vite (les plats aurait pû être meilleurs).

Service très mauvais la semaine. Il manque clairement des serveurs. C'est une serveuse asiatique qui nous sert & a peine elle parle le français & il faut lui rappeler de nous servir du café. La nourriture est correct mais pas le service a la table.

Ben & Florentine in Brossard is a solid brunch spot - I stopped in on a Sunday morning after an early flight & was genuinely impressed by how smoothly the whole operation ran. The eggs benedict with smoked salmon were perfectly executed, with a hollandaise that actually had some brightness to it instead of the usual gluey version you find at most chain brunch places. Service was attentive without being hovering, & my server remembered to bring a coffee refill without being asked, which is a small thing I always notice. If you're in the South Shore area & need a reliable, good-quality brunch, this is easily the best option I've come across in this part of the city.
