Beijing Dumpling is praised for fresh, flavorful dumplings and soup dumplings, with vegetarian options and a simple, authentic vibe. The menu is varied, portions are generous for the price, and the staff are welcoming and attentive, with allergy awareness noted by guests. Service can feel hurried or pushy during busy times, though many reviews describe fast and friendly care and reliable takeout or dine-in service. The made-to-order approach can mean a brief wait, but the dumplings are often described as among the best in Montreal. Overall it is considered a solid go-to for dumplings with good value and a welcoming atmosphere.
Late review, visited in june 2024 but still remember it well. We stumbled upon this place randomly & loved it. Looked like it was family operated & you could see them making the food. Amazing dumplings especially the soup dumplings. Great price & service, it wasn't busy when we got there but it was when we left!
The dumplings with the soup inside were very delicious. The lady who served us was very nice & kind. The prices are good. The only problem is the atmosphere. They could totally make the place look much nicer.

We stopped in for a quick lunch on a cold day. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Deliciously flavoured - the chicken soup dumplings were perfection, & these are the best quality/price dumplings I have come across in Montreal. As someone who used to be a dedicated client of Harbin Dumpling, these dumplings are much more flavourful & less expensive. What a find. Service was fantastic, will certainly be back.
Great restaurant for Chinese dumplings, service was good & quick, the interior could do with a small renovation but food was great. Definitely try the Xiao Long Bao, the soup dumplings, juicy pork was great! Prices are good & portions are filling.
This quaint dumpling place is tucked away on St.Denis street amongst all the hustle & bustle of the other restaurants. From what we saw, it was run by an all women crew. Kudos for that! That being said my wife & I had #29 (beef & onion)#32(cabbage & mushroom) & #32A (potato & veggies), the Takoyaki balls, & the shrimp wonton soup. We stayed in Montreal for 5 days & all 5 days we came here for takeout. The dumplings are made in house, by hand, & are the most delicious dumplings we've had outside of Chinatown NYC. They are relatively priced toward the lower end of the spectrum $13.99 CAD. The wonton soup was the best we've had equal amounts savory & hearty, without it being over the top. The broth was clear & aromatic, the shrimp wontons were cooked perfectly & as you bit into them we were hit with a mouthful of deliciousness. By far one of our favorite places we've been to. The portions are plentiful, & you're getting a lot a bang for your buck. Highly recommend this dumpling spot. You won't regret it!

Came here on Christmas cuz most other places are closed. Everything too sweet as is every other eatery. Wouldn't say the food is authentic, just blatantly catering to western tastes (well, understandable). But it's moderately priced on a street full of overpriced restaurants.
