Food was above average mot excellent. But I was in rush heading out of Montreal. I called 20 in advance to order not to wait in the restaurant for preparation. They said we will prepapre it once you arrive, it will take 5 min!! I said no it will take 15 min at least to prepare 4 skews! How come!
Anyway, they took the order & my feeling was they won't make it until I arrive. & finally we waited around 15 min to get it done after arrival. Then not a single person approached us if we needed anything. I had to wait a lot to find someone to bring a drink. Waiting for the bill to arrive? No one there. Again runnign after them. Service is definitely 1 star. Food was 3. So I left 2 star otherwise it is 1.
Behesht is our new go to Persian restaurant. The staff is so kind & polite & the food is delicious.
I feel like I'm dining at a great restaurant when I go there & wish they would remove some of the cheap decorations. The'ouvert' sign or the plastic plants in the foyer. It doesn't match the sophisticated & exquisite Persian dishes they serve.
Absolutely loved this place! The BBQ & Persian kababs were delicious & full of unique flavors. The staff were super friendly, & the restaurant was spotless. Highly recommend!
I truly believe that when someone visits your home, the most important thing is to welcome them with a warm face - because they haven't come just to see your house, but to make you happy. As a host, I should reflect that happiness with a big smile & kind eyes.
In a restaurant, the same principle applies. The staff should show their joy through their behavior & their smiles - & at Behesht Restaurant, I genuinely saw that in Saina & Mehdi. Their kindness & sincere hospitality made us feel so welcome. They went above & beyond to make sure we enjoyed both the food & the cozy atmosphere. Thank you for making our experience so memorable!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was cozy & relaxing - perfect for a night out. I highly recommend this place & will definitely be coming back
What impressed me the most about the restaurant was its beautiful ambiance - from the lovely paintings on the walls to the elegant decorations & the soft traditional Iranian music playing in the background.
As for the food, I really enjoyed it. It was tasty, the portion sizes were just right, & overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. We ordered kebab Torsh & Koobideh, both of which were well-prepared. The meal came with a choice of salad or soup, & it ended nicely with a cup of tea.
Also, the lady who served our food was very kind & friendly, which made the experience more pleasant.
My recent dining experience at Behesht restaurant in Montreal was quite enjoyable. The selection of Persian dishes I sampled, including the Barg, Soltani kebab, & Chengeh, were all prepared to a high standard, showcasing delicious flavors & tender textures. The restaurant also offered a pleasant atmosphere & the service provided was attentive & courteous. Considering the quality of the food & the overall experience, the prices appeared reasonable. I would recommend it to others seeking a satisfying Persian meal in Montreal.
Maybe, if there was beautiful, wordless music playing in the air, it would have been better. Also, the attitude of the lady who brought the card reader was not very interesting. She quickly took the card reader without thanking me & took it away & did not say a word to say goodbye or welcome or that we are waiting for you again. This behavior was not worthy of the environment there. ((Maybe if I had left a $50 tip on the table, I would have seen this behavior)) But overall, the food & its quality were unparalleled. Thank you.

I found the food to be very salty & just so so. May be the nice decor in the restaurant gets your expectations high.
Don't even bother with lamb shank no matter how much good they tell you it is.
The best kebab barg I've had in Montreal so far. Rice wasn't to my standard, 1 person to serve the whole floor is not a good idea. Although she really worked hard & I admire her dedication.
Eat in is delicious at the new location. DO NOT DO PICK UP, they send you to pick up at their old location where the quality is a definite downgrade. Eat in or go somewhere else.
