First time trying Persian cuisine. We went on a weekday, so the restaurant was calm with no big crowds.
Atmosphere & decor: 10/10
Service: 10/10
Tea: 10/10
Food: 6.5/10. The lamb shank had too much tomato sauce & wasn't very enjoyable. The kobebiahs were delicious they were juicy & tender. However both dishes were unfortunately not served hot. The soup was tasty & warm. The salad was also good.
The dishes are absolutely delicious & full of flavor, with very reasonable prices. The traditional setting & Iranian architecture truly reflect the rich culture. The staff are exceptionally kind & welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest. Definitely an experience everyone should try!
Thank you so much!
Its better to miss your hometown dishes instead of trying to eat them here . Awful persian food awful rice not recommended at all
Surprisingly the restaurant makes their mixed platter more expensive, so avoid the'Shahani' platter & order dishes separately. The food, service & decoration were great.
Hands down the best Iranian food in Montreal! The dishes are fresh, authentic, & full of flavor. You can tell they really care about quality.
Beautiful traditional Iranian atmosphere, flavorful dishes, & warm, attentive service. It truly felt like a taste of home. Highly recommended!
A good restaurant serving tasty Iranian food. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, with beautiful classic decoration that adds to the experience. A great place to enjoy traditional Persian dishes in a cozy setting. Highly recommend!
Sweet & neat homy Persian restaurant with very friendly service. Fresh food, proper portion with fair price. The meat is not so dry not so greasy, it fits my taste well. Many options for meat dishes but also for vegetarians.
The best Persian restaurant in Canada! Literally the most beautiful interior design you could imagine! I got tears in my eyes when tried their dishes for the first time! Tasted like home!!!!
You could tell that they use high quality ingredients & the fact that they're always packed makes everything they serve always fresh.
Good job Behesht
Behesht is our new go to Persian restaurant. The staff is so kind & polite & the food is delicious.
I feel like I'm dining at a great restaurant when I go there & wish they would remove some of the cheap decorations. The'ouvert' sign or the plastic plants in the foyer. It doesn't match the sophisticated & exquisite Persian dishes they serve.
My recent dining experience at Behesht restaurant in Montreal was quite enjoyable. The selection of Persian dishes I sampled, including the Barg, Soltani kebab, & Chengeh, were all prepared to a high standard, showcasing delicious flavors & tender textures. The restaurant also offered a pleasant atmosphere & the service provided was attentive & courteous. Considering the quality of the food & the overall experience, the prices appeared reasonable. I would recommend it to others seeking a satisfying Persian meal in Montreal.
Here's a polished review: We recently dined at Behesht in Montreal, & overall, it was a pleasant experience. The quality of the food was acceptable & reasonably priced. We appreciated that both salad or soup were included as complementary starters with the main dishes. The salad was fresh, which set a good tone for the meal. We ordered Koobideh & Chenjeh. While the Koobideh was flavorful, it could have been a bit more tender & juicy. The Chenjeh, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly. The service was prompt, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with enough tables to accommodate guests comfortably, even during busy hours, without feeling rushed. One of the highlights of the experience was the complementary black tea, which was a great way to end the meal. Additionally, the restaurant went out of its way to allow our friends to bring their own cake for a special occasion. The manager kindly accommodated this request without any extra charges, which was a thoughtful & generous gesture. Overall, Behesht offers a great mix of good food, warm hospitality, & a comfortable atmosphere. We'll definitely consider visiting.
The food was great especially the lamp shank & the appetizer Mirza Ghasemi. Portions are great & most don't finish their meal so you will have leftovers for lunch. Service was great as they explained & recommended some dishes. Also verified if everything was good a couple of times which is a plus. We went on a Sunday night & it was still busy so recommended to call & reserve. Will definitely come back again!
Food & service was excellent. Portions were more than generous, although I'm not Iranian & my perception on authentic Persian cuisine might be different from others. I can safely say that the quality of the dishes was excellent & I will gladly return.
Zereshk polo is one of the most popular Persian foods & you can find one of the most delicious ones here! Their masto moosir is wonderful which is a Persian dip with yogurt & shallot. They serve their dishes with Tahdig which is my favorite. Their koobideh needs to be more juicy & greasy to become the original.
We ordered several dishes. I wasn't lucky with mine. I tried Fesenjoon with rice. I didn't like it. It's a thick heavy & sweetie stew. The rest of the food was delicious
Fantastic restaurant with a cozy atmosphere & delicious food. The quality of the dishes was exceptional, & the service was fast & friendly. Everything was perfect, & I highly recommend this place to others.
On a particularly cold night, We found ourselves seeking warmth & comfort at Behesht, an Iranian restaurant that came highly recommended by locals. Nestled away in an unassuming location, this place truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem. The evening began with the Soup of the Day - a hearty Lentil soup that was the perfect remedy for the chill outside. Accompanied by a side of Marinated Olives, the meal started on a high note. The flavors were robust, reminiscent of home-cooked meals that soothe the soul. For the main course, we ordered two plates of Koobideh & Ghormeh Sabzi. The Koobideh, a traditional grilled ground meat dish, was tender & seasoned to perfection. The Ghormeh Sabzi, a fragrant herb stew with tender chunks of meat & beans, was equally delightful. Both dishes were served in generous portions, easily enough to satisfy the appetites of four adults. The pricing at Behesht is reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes & the quality of the food. It's clear that this restaurant prioritizes authenticity & a home-style cooking approach, making it a perfect spot for anyone craving traditional Iranian flavors. Despite its somewhat hidden location, Behesht is a treasure waiting to be discovered. The overall experience was highly positive, & I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comforting & satisfying meal.
