It was one of my best experiences.
It was amazing, & I highly recommend it to everyone.⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
My husband & I came back to Bazart to celebrate our anniversary since we loved it so much the first time. From the ambiance, to the attention to detail, service & food quality. Above & beyond. Darryl was amazing, attentive & sparked the conversation. HIGHLY recommend!
Bazart used to be one of my favourite mediterranean restaurant back when it opened in 2021. Today, I wouldn't be able to place it in my top 5 in Montreal.
My most recent experience there left a sour taste of disappointment due to the long wait time for service, disparity of service between waiters & the poor food quality/presentation.
The table next to us got greeted, guided through the experience & had each dish composition explained. Our waiter simply dropped the plates on the table & left.
The burrata came with an uncut tomato. Just the whole vegetable with the cheese on top & sauce at the bottom of the plate. No effort to make slices or present it in the way that it was displayed on the menu. Note this plate doesn't include croutons & we had to order the bread separately which usually is complementary at any decent restaurant.
- $28.00 + $13.00
The ravioli were great & honestly the one thing I really enjoyed that evening. They had a rich cheese flavour which was complimented by the butter reduction. The presentation was proper, which was appreciated.
- $32.00
The octopus was not properly marinated/seasoned & cold. Most of the flavour was just char from the grill which is far from the usually fresh taste I get when ordering this plate.
- $67.00
The lamb chops were to be cooked medium-rare but came out well done & cold as well. While the sauce & seasoning of that dish were well measured, the lack of precision in the cooking & the fact the meat arrived cold made me regret ordering that plate.
-$80.00
I thought I would impress by inviting my date at Bazart but I felt like a fool burning money on a subpar experience. While I could've returned the main dishes to the kitchen, after waiting 30m to receive our plates, we were too hungry to wait even longer. In hindsight, there are restaurants that offer much better service & food for a fraction of the price & I couldn't in good faith recommend Bazart anymore. The slow service & degradation of food quality is obvious because I've been a customer for a long time. Note they now tolerate people being obnoxiously loud which wasn't the case before & though they mention the place is 18+ after 9pm, some children/teens were still present.
This restaurant DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!
I had seen mixed reviews, but we truly were not let down whatsoever. The girls who greeted us & brought us to our table were so sweet & charismatic.
We got seated & right away our waitress brought us our waters & the QR code for the menu. The menu is so cool as when you click the food option, it shows a picture which makes choosing what you want ten times easier!
We started off with the ricotta ravioli. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of ricotta & it was still extremely enjoyable & fun to share between two people.
We then ordered the fresh breads last minute as we saw another table having some & we added hummus before realizing it was $15 extra! We asked our waitress to cancel the hummus order, but since it was plated already it was on the house!! The breads were super fresh & the spices were amazing! The hummus was also gorgeous.
We then got our main meals which consisted of the cornish hen, the giant tiger prawns & the roaster potatoes to share. The potatoes were amazing & a perfect portion to share! The shrimps were incredible. The spices of the cornish hen were also amazing! My friend just wished there was a different sauce accompanied with the chicken!
The service was amazing & extremely attentive. Truly everyone we talked to were incredibly nice & welcoming.
The restaurant itself is FABULOUS. Every single room is breathtaking. The decoration & atmosphere is jaw dropping & so beautiful.
This restaurant is AMAZING for groups & events.
Totally recommend.
We had the best dinner here- such great vibes! Chirog, our waiter, was so attentive & kind, 10/10 service! Highly recommend for a fun environment with great food.
The girls & I visited Bazart-a spot we'd been eyeing for its dreamy, Tulum-inspired vibes. We originally planned to come in the evening to soak in the ambiance, but brunch didn't disappoint. The decor was absolutely stunning, & even though the weather was a bit chilly, the staff made sure we were comfortable with heaters & cozy blankets. Our waitress was so warm & welcoming-she walked us through the brunch menu & recommended a few standout dishes.
We had their brunch menu which includes pastries platter - Croissants, chocolate croissants, halloumi, Greek yogurt, homemade jam & mixed berries. For our main course, we ordered their egg soufflé & ravioli.
The pastries platter was freshly baked & beautifully balanced with both sweet & savoury options. The croissants were a standout - perfectly golden, buttery, & delicately flaky with each bite. We also tried the house-made ravioli, which was rich & satisfying. Stuffed with creamy ricotta & topped with a vibrant blend of homemade pesto, pine nuts, candied ail, cherry tomatoes, & fresh basil, the dish packed a punch. While the pesto added depth, it slightly overpowered the more delicate flavours. The egg soufflé, on the other hand, was a dream - airy, pillowy, & cooked just right, with a soft center that melted in your mouth.
Excellent restaurant. Our waiter Chirag made the experience here even better - he was attentive, kind, & split my large group's bill into separate checks. Definitely recommend dining here!
First time in Montreal, Selin assisted my fiancée & me in ordering an amazing dinner. She was an excellent & experienced waitress. I highly recommend that my friends visit Bazart & request Selin as their server.
Darrel, was the Atmosphere of the place. He truly made us feel welcome & helped with the language barrier, 100% recommend! The food & the ambiance was living up to the'hype'
Darryl was amazing - I'm convinced we would not have as much fun as we did without him. The space is absolutely breathtaking - perfect for a date or getting together with friends. 100/10 highly recommend (& most importantly ask for Darryl) ❤?
Absolutely delicious & wonderful service though a bit delayed because of how delicious & busy they are. Highly recommend. Don't skip mascarpone it's insane.
Had an amazing experience, came 30 min before the kitchen closed & the waiter Chirag made sure everything was served from starter to dessert & even drinks, was reassuring when there was a slight delay but overall exceptional place, employees & highly recommend the potatoes & octopus, don't forget to arrive early!
My experience at this restaurant was amazing the food the vibe & the the most was the service by Chirag he make me feel like a VIP guest he was aware or the little detail who can make a big difference, I recommend this place for sure & asks for Chirag, thank again
Best decor in the city (country?) Definitely recommend for an upscale night out, lots of space for groups & tables for two.
The staff seemed confused Table for 10 & my food arrived 15 minutes before everyone else & I got my glass of wine 15 minutes after everybody else They dropped my plate on the table without asking for who it was, just dropped it & left, we had to figure out who's plate it was Asked for food recommendation & the person told me they never had food here so they couldn't recommend...
absolutely loved the decor & the food. it seems they've really stepped up their game. the ambiance was fun & i loved the service especially by chirag. would recommend & i'll be there again soon.
Hated our experience, food was absolutely terrible tzatziki was sour cream... literally just a plate of sour cream with 2 slices of cucumber. Mojito was just lemon pulp... Our waiter was a sweet heart, security was extremely rude & mean for no reason. It was such a bad night even the table behind us got so mad they started yelling... anyways terrible experience will never go back & 100% don't recommend, unless you like being yelled at by people & eating nasty food.
