It's a great place. The food was unquestionably delicious, but the most important for me was the service. Even when I speak English fluently, my wife doesn't, the waitress recognized our accent & tried to speak in Spanish with my wife. I recommend this place.View more

La serveuse devrais changer de profession. Bon je devrais plutôt dire , à cause de la pénurie de main d'oeuvre , les entreprises engagent n'importe qui. La bouffe aussi était plutôt degeulasse. Pour le prix c'est franchement rire des gens. Pourtant c'était un bon restaurant avant la rénovation.En plus ce n'était pas chaud notre repas. La serveuse m'a répondu qu'elle ne peux pas avoir essayé tout les vins pour m'en suggérer un en particulier. La patate au four sèche & froide était de la même grosseur que le steak tiède. De plus nous avons été servi par une super serveuse belge qui a été à notre écoute tout au long du repas & qui nous a même conseillé des endroits à visiter dans Montréal & ses alentours. We can say this was the last time we will ever dine at Baton Rouge. Not the same quality of food or service from years ago, a big disappointment. We have special memories at this restaurant for over 20 years. Everything has declined. The staff are inconvenienced by serving customers, resolving issues & answering questions. This is obviously management problem. When asked to check the balance of a gift card, everyone said ask someone else, finally the waiter said he will do that only at the end before we pay. Obviously he didn't want us to spend it all prehaps he hoped to receive the entire excess of the meal as a tip. Appetizers are served without personal appetizer plates-is there a shortage of dishware? For these prices why does it feel like a cafeteria? The ribs are burnt, hard & dried out, not as moist as they used to be. Our waiter would forget to bring the order & wonder why we are looking at him from across the restaurant. He served glasses of lukewarm water & never refilled our water glasses once during the entire meal. When ordering dessert, we are told that they don't serve hot tea right now, don't offer decaf coffee options & they were out of what we ordered-the apple crumble.View more

Dear Management Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to your establishment. As a customer, I had high expectations for the dining experience, & unfortunately, these expectations were not met. Firstly, I was disappointed by the inconsistent timing of the food delivery. Despite being part of a group of five people, our dishes arrived at the table with a significant delay between each serving. This resulted in some members of our party having to wait while others began their meals, leading to a less enjoyable dining experience overall. Furthermore, I ordered my steak cooked to medium-well & emphasized the importance of it being closer to well-done. However, when the dish arrived, the meat was significantly undercooked, resembling rare rather than the desired doneness. As someone who has a background in the culinary industry, I understand the importance of precise cooking techniques & was disappointed by this oversight. I believe that proper training & attention to detail are essential for delivering excellent service in a restaurant setting.
