It was a quiet evening, Wednesday 17th 2026. The restaurant was half empty. My son had just done his play in school & we wanted to go out for a small celebration as a family. This turned out to be a very disappointing evening.
My wife & I ordered a salad & the kids ordered on the kids a BBQ chicken breast on the kids menu. I specifically asked for the fries to be hot & crispy. We waited 45 minutes to receive our food on an evening where the restaurant was half empty !
First they came out with the kids dishes. The fries had been on the dish for so long that they literally collapsed & were lukewarm warm, soggy & totally disgusting. Not to mention that they bring a mountain full of fries with about a 2 oz piece of chicken for the kids.. Very unappetizing dish. I immediately told the server that the kids fries were awful & he took their dishes away to put new fries & took about 5 minutes so now the chicken is cold ! I guess it's hard to bring them some fries so they can start eating their chicken immediately.
I ordered the chicken filet salad. Mine arrived cold & soggy & humid. These were absolutely uneatable ! It's like everything had been done for about 10 minutes & were just left there & were forgotten. When you took it in your hand the coating just pealed off with your hand. Even the server saw that this was a horrible dish. He apologized & went to speak to the manager. He came back & said we can redo your dish & we can offer you a dessert & a coffee to compensate. This was absolutely insulting, making us wait 45 minutes for 4 simple dishes, letting them sit there while everything became cold & soggy & them offering dessert & a coffee to compensate for meals that were uneatable. Our evening out with the kids was ruined.
After wasting our time that evening & making the kids wait all this time for a horrible meal, we got up & left this restaurant.
THIS WAS A VERY BAD DINING EXPERIENCE !
UPDATE : COMPANY THAT REPLIES WITH AUTOMATED MESSAGES ! This company does NOT care about customer service or quality. You have all the information you need & requested in my review yet you want me to send it to your email. Cut the BS ! Easy to see why your once very busy restaurant has suddenly become so quiet ! Price went up & everything else came down !
Jeudi soir, arrivée à 17h30. Meilleur moment pour aller au resto. Peu de monde, service impeccable & la bouffe parfaite. Cassandra nous a permis de vivre une excellente expérience. Merci !

Everything was good, but the prices put it inline with the keg now. I understand the global climate of these things, but it's a lot more than I expected.
Amazing service paired with warm hospitality & good food made for a wonderful night with friends. Emily & the host team were very welcoming when we arrived. From there, Maria provided exceptional service. She was great with drinks, wine, food, & fun conversation! Truly great service which is increasingly tough to find. The owner (Nick) came by to say hi. We enjoyed the spinach dip, a baked feta pastry, lobster rolls, the new seafood boil, & the legendary ribs. All paired with excellent wine. Looking forward to the next visit!
Cela faisait au moins dix ans que je n'étais pas retournée au restaurant Bâton Rouge & j'ai eu une surprise assez décevante. Un samedi soir à 19 h, l'ambiance ressemblait davantage à celle d'un bar-club qu'à celle d'un restaurant où l'on vient partager un repas. La musique était extrêmement forte, au point d'être difficilement supportable, & les tables étaient tellement rapprochées que nous nous sommes retrouvés assis à quelques centimètres d'un autre couple. Aucune intimité, aucune possibilité de discuter normalement. Nous avions sérieusement envie de quitter les lieux.
Heureusement, il y avait une terrasse à l'extérieur & après en avoir fait la demande, la serveuse a gentiment accepté de nous y installer même s'il n'y avait personne d'autre. Son professionnalisme, sa gentillesse & son sourire ont littéralement sauvé notre soirée.
Côté cuisine, rien à redire : les plats étaient très bons & les portions généreuses. Malheureusement, malgré la qualité de la nourriture & du service, l'ambiance intérieure ne correspond pas du tout à ce que je recherche dans un restaurant. Pour cette raison, je n'y retournerai pas.
We arrived at the restaurant & were seated.we were brought water & ordered a soda from the lady at the bar who also serves the table. The actually waitress kept serving & soaking to the customers around us & never acknowledged us one time. She didn't ask if we were ready to order, she didn't introduce herself. Finally I said hello to her & she rolled her eyes, I said is anyone serving this table. Do you want to order, she said obviously our menus have been turned over for 25 minutes & no one as greeted us. They simply ignored us. Disgusting behaviour.
