The front of the house restaurant manager she is a lovely person so kind & cares. The ribs were just awesome & tasty & the lobster tail was good . We ordered the calamari for an entree my mom did not eat them she found them rubbery. She did love the seafood linguine. 1 suggestion no seasoning on the fries was too salty. The coleslaw too much mayo no texture & not much taste.View more

Nice location. Friendly service. I ordered a steak black & blue. The kitchen went a little too far trying to blacken it with a torch maybe? I don't recommend asking for black & blue or Chicago blue or Philadelphia blue. The fries were good & crispy.View more

My husband & I dined at Baton Rouge Lasalle on our last evening in Montreal. Our server, Anthony was exceptional as was the food. We shared our favorite appetizer, Spinach Dip, which never disappoints. Our steaks were done to perfection, a perfect medium rare & of course, the fries with their signature peppercorn sauce is a must for me. The Baton Rouge Restaurant is our go to place to eat when I am home in Halifax. It is so nice to see the consistency with their food from one restaurant to another. After reading many of the reviews I decided I needed to try it out for myself. My review is based on my experience & the food ordered. We ordered the full rack of ribs & spinach dip as an entree. Ribs, fries & coleslaw were excellent! Spinach dip was also very very good! We had a Bloody Caesar & expresso martini & both were excellent! Service was also excellent & our order came within a reasonable time & food was hot! We also got a dessert which was the carrot cake & it was very fresh & tasted amazing! Like I said my experience was an excellent one & I purposely went on a weekday to be fair, the place had a warm & cozy vibe going for a weekday. All in all I had a great experience there!View more

We ordered 3 different meat dishes. Fries were ok, but the meat did not taste good at all. You can half the price & it still wouldn't be worth it. The waitress ignored us when we were trying to get the bill. Never again.View more

Service was excellent. But we were taken aback when we ordered the spinach dip & it arrived with the bowl half empty - half the chips were left because there was wasn't enough dip. Then when the Burger & side of sweet potato fries arrived we were shocked how skimpy they were with the fries - very small portion or fries, it was a child's portion.View more

Many things went wrong. It started with my reservation. I called to make a reservation at 7:30pm on the same day to being told once I got there that my reservation was made for the following night. I never said it was for tomorrow. The front desk told us we had to wait 30+min since it was full. I looked inside & the restaurant was barely half full. After expressing my dissatisfaction,they offered a table at the bar section. The food itself was ok, not great but not bad either. We had fried calamari, caesar salad & fillet mignon. The calamari was good but very greasy & had a lot of batter. Some pieces were very small & tasted only like overused oil. The ceasar salad was a bit blend, lacking sauce & the bacon & croutons were very not crunchy. The fillet mignon was good but the plate lacked finesse. It looked like a poor deli quality dish. No sauce comes with the steak...... you have to pay extra for it. I mean come on, very dissatisfying to pay so much for a pile of fries, basic grilled veggies & no sauce. Finally the service was very slow. Not because the waiter was very busy but because he was just wasting so much time small talking & complaining himself about how management is not good. We asked ketchup for the fries & while clearly acknowledging he never brought it to our table. We also waited over 20 minutes just to pay for the meal. We saw the waiter talk with the girls at the front desk laughing for over 5min while we were there waiting for that eye contact for the final bill with empty plates. In all respect he was not a bad waiter but just wasn't focused. Over for 183$ for a meal for two it was just not worth it. If the food has better presentation & if the steak came with sauce, & if service was better it could get a 4 star but this was definitely a 2.5 to 3 star experience. _______________________ Update: I would like to mention that management was kind enough to offer their apologies & took measures to make our next visit better.
