Absolutely loved this place! The drinks were delicious & perfectly balanced. The food was just as impressive-especially the Jarey D'Agnon, which was full of flavor & beautifully presented. The team was incredibly friendly & professional, creating a warm & welcoming atmosphere. Price-wise, everything felt reasonable & made sense for the quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Peruvian cuisine in Montreal!
I was yesterday & I didn't like the food quality. Photos in menu are not accurate as what you received. Small portions in real. I took the beef anticuchos & the plate had too much sauce & it was served in a basket with a paperz not even in a plate.
Waiters don't ask who was the food. I will not come backm there are better Peruvians restos in Montreal.
Our first Peruvian experience was a great one. Friendly server recommendations were a hit with our group of foodies. The venue is very nice. Can't wait to go back & try more of their dishes & drinks.
I first visited this restaurant last week & did not have a positive experience. The manager Felix invited me & a guest for a second try & we had a wonderful experience. I had the lomo saltado & my friend had the salchipapa asada. Both dishes were bursting with flavour & prove why Peruvian cuisine is one of the best. The floor manager took the time to explain to us the cooking & ingredients, it's clear that the staff are well trained on the menu. She was kind enough to offer us a dessert & we chose las ruinas. Again a unique dessert with balanced sweetness & crunchiness. Happy to try this restaurant again & will gladly visit to try the other dishes. Quality establishment, well managed & a special menu.

The best Peruvian food I've tried in Canada in 7 years here. I tried the ceviche, lomo saltado & causa & it was all delicious & very fresh. Thank you for making justice to our cuisine & keeping it true to our tradition.
I was at Barranco restaurant with my friend last night to celebrate my 40ths birthday. I heard all good things about this place & I certainly confirmed it is very good, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was nice, the service was acceptable just a little too rushy rushy & rude at the moment we arrived but overall very good. The manager came to my table & we spoke with the her, I forgot her name but she was very friendly & gave us a lot of information about this place & the other 4 restaurants that Barrano is affiliated with :) Bravo guys!!! The drinks were very good...very close like being in Peru. I am Peruvian & love places that really make me feel at home & treat me well. Everything went well, a negative note is the first server at first was a bit rude because we told her to talk to us in English & change with her colleague, I understand we are in QC but if i want to be served in English I have the right to do so. It would of been wonderful to have the service in Spanish & then I would of felt like being in Peru. The second server was very nice, gorgeous nails & beautiful make up, she looked like a doll. At first again her approach was a little tough/rude but she warm up little by little...after we talked to her. I will not take a star away from this review because the food & everything went well afterwards....maybe the other girl was having a bad day or hate English any ways it happens some people just hate what they do! Overall owners of Barranco Bravo for a wonderful place where i will enjoy eating more often & bring a lot of people that love Peruvian food. Gracias Totales!
Great food, great ambiance. I attended with 13 guests for my birthday party on a friday night. Reservation was at 8:30. The table wasnt ready until 8:40 which was fine as a lot of guests were still looking for parking. Note come super in advance to get parking maybe 25 minutes at least. Booking the table was easy & I could book 12 guest (if I remember correctly) by myself & called later to adjust without any problem. They are very accommodating. I didn't have to give any deposit. & we didn't have to do a set menu. I got a free dessert for my birthday. Food was amazing, my fiancé that is a chef & had travelled to period loved it. & everyone loved the flavours in Peruvian food. My only recommendation to the restaurant is to have an easier to review menu. As someone that has never had peruovian food it was really hard to navigate & understand.
It was my second time at Barranco. I am very satisfied of this tapas style Peruvian food. Would definitely recommend as they have an amazing twist on traditional peruvian dishes. Drinks are amazing too. Besides that the causas, salchipapas, drinks & tacos were amazing. Staff is amazing as well!

When Peruvian food tastes & looks this good, why go elsewhere? Sent a video of the causa, ceviche, & pisco sours to my friends & family & they are on the next flight to Montreal :)
First time trying Peruvian cuisine, we loved the experience overall. Ceviche was definitely a must try, a classic Peruvian food. It was nice, good but not excellent, therefore I would say 4/5 for food, yet I & my sister enjoyed the meal, services & vibe, therefore we would give 5 stars in general.
Very good experience. 4.5 stars. Overall the food was great, not 5 stars, but more than 4 definitely. For example, I found pork belly tacos too dry. But all other choices we tried were really good. They don't cheap on drinks, also they have a very large drink menu. Service was good, but I found the environment too loud, especially for the summer time because it's placed on a very busy street with an open patio, terrace, so the music, people chatting, traffic create a lot of noise. Will I recommend it? Yes. But be aware it's a Peruvian urban cuisine, a fusion, if you tried a real one before. Will visit it again.
Loved everything about the place. Had the opportunity to sit on the patio & have a couple drinks as I soaked up the sun. The Peruvian poutine had great flavour, especially with the seasoning on the chicken.
I was curious to try Peruvian food, & I wasn't disappointed ! Cocktails were 👌👏, & the dishes ! I couldn't make up my mind on what to choose as everything looked delicious, but I went with the ceviche classico, as I love ceviche & its not always easy to find one in montreal. I would 💯 recommand it ! Very nice atmosphere, we were there on a Sunday night so it took a bit longer than planned, but it didn't change anything in the rating I give this place. Great to come for a date or with friends !
In my new favorite peruvian food cuisine restaurant it is amazingly good, awesome drinks also & one of my favorite is causa but also gotta day the ceviche is very good & often restaurants cant make it this good & fresh. Just positive vibes thank you !
1) we asked for a banquette on the reservation made a month ago but didn't get it because their was s group. So we asked to switch tables to not be next to the door ( we arrived 30 min earlier so nobody was there yet) they refused 2) I asked for my steak well cooked & apparently the chef only does it one way & its medium or med rare 3) my friend ordered main dish but since I couldn't get my steak I said ill let her know while eating my appetizer. I asked for the chicken on potatoes & asked if we can switch the potatoes for rice , she said no. Anyways I took that & she brought my main dish 10 min after bringing appetizers because & I told her its my main dish not an appetizer so I ended up eating that cold. 4) they forgot to bring my friends main dish the steak. So we asked & they apparently forgot or misunderstood. Once she got her steak it wasn't even pink inside it was well cooked ... so not medium ( she did say chef refuses to fully cook the meat) Flavour wise I had better Peruvian food , the drinks & desserts were good.
